My life at home is very simple

I wake up at 6 am, then I have breakfast and go to work at 7 am

At about 11 am, I come back home for lunch and have a nap I continue my work until 5 pm

I pick my son up at his school and take him home

My wife cooks dinner while I play with my son Then we have dinner together

At the weekend, I often do the housework, for example, cleaning the floor or washing clothes

I love my family

4 Education and future career ( giáo dục và nghề nghiệp)

Education is very important for everyone

To get a good job, we must have good education

In Vietnam, there are three levels of general education: primary, secondary and high school

For higher education, people can study at colleges or university according to their career orientation

If you want to become a teacher, you can study at college/ university of education

If you want to become an engineer, you can study at college university of technology and so on

5 Free time activities, entertainment ( Thời gian rảnh rỗi và giải trí)

I don’t have much free time but whenever I am free I often spend it with my family

Sometimes I cook good meals for them or take my family to the restaurant to have lunch or dinner

I like sports so I often play tennis or football at the weekends

I think entertainment is very important because it helps me to relax after hard working days

6 Travel ( Du lịch)

I love travelling very much

I have visited some beautiful places in Vietnam such as Sa Pa, Ha Long, Hue, Da Nang, Nha Trang,

Ho Chinh Minh city… and so on But I like Da Nang the most

It is a very clean and green city People are very helpful and friendly

I want to come back this city next summer

Everyone have a lot of relationships with others in family and society

In family, we have grandparents, parents, husband, wife, children, brothers, sisters, uncles, aunts,cousins and so on

In class, we have classmates At work, we have colleagues

Wherever you are, it is very important to keep a good relationship with everyone around you

8 Health and welfare ( Sưc khỏe và phúc lợi )

Healthcare and welfare in Vietnam are very good for everyone

For children under 5 years old, all health services at public hospital are free

For adults, there are different kinds of insurance, for example, medical insurance, social insurance,health insurance

There are both public and private hospitals for us to choose

9 Shopping ( Mua sắm)

I don’t like shopping very much I only go shopping when I need to buy something

I like shopping in the supermarket because I can buy a lot of things at one shopping time

I do not like shopping in the market because I do not know to make bargain ( mặc cả)

10 Food and drink ( Thực phẩm và đồ uống)

I don’t like cooking but I can cook a little

My favourite food is chicken and fish

Sometimes I cook them for my family on special occasions such as birthday, Women’s day, Teacher’sday…

I like drink fruit juice and milk the most because they are good for our health

I hate beer or wine because they are harmful to everyone

There are many kinds of services in Vietnam

I only talk about public transport There are many types of public transport, for example, bus, taxi,train, plane… and so on

Bus is the cheapest but it is always crowded It is suitable for students

Taxi is very popular in big cities and is very convenient for everyone

Plane is the most expensive but very quick if you have long travel

I love air transport the most

12 Places

I I have visited some beautiful places in Vietnam such as Sa Pa, Ha Long, Hue, Da Nang, Nha Trang,

Ho Chinh Minh city… and so on But I like Da Nang the most

It is a very clean and green city I can visit many beautiful places there, for example, My Khe beach,Linh Ung pagoda, My Son… People are very helpful and friendly I want to come back this city nextsummer

13 Weather ( Thời tiết)/ Seasons in Vietnam ( Các mùa ở VN)

There are four seasons in the North of Vietnam: summer, autumn, winter and spring

I like spring the most because it is the first season of the year The weather is not very cold.Sometimes it rains but I love it because it makes trees grow and flowers bloom in spring

I don’t like summer because I hate hot weather I do not hate winter or autumn at all but I do not likethem

Learning a foreign language is very difficult

I need to be hard-working and patient

It is very important for me to like English if I want to learn English well

I started to learn English when I was student but I find too hard to speak English well

Moonshine

The band Moonshine released their third CD last week ‘Here again’ is a follow-up to ‘The Waves’.There have been a few changes since the last CD, with Tom Wilcott on bass guitar replacing Simon McVee,who left the band last year, and the arrival of Tom Simpson on drums

It is clear from the first song on the CD, which is a dance tune, that the band is no longer going toconcentrate on slow songs The second tune is also a dance tune and is even louder and heavier Most latertracks are in the band’s more usual slow style These two tracks will certainly come as a surprise to manyfans Either of them could easily become a hit single though, because they are excellent

Singer Rob Letchford gets a chance to really show how good he is, reaching each note perfectly.Fans should be grateful he recorded the songs for the album before he had trouble with his throat This hasresulted in the band having to cancel their next tour (Anyone who has bought tickets need not worry as allthe concerts will be rearranged as soon as Rob has recovered.)

On this CD, Moonshine show they can produce perfect music in a variety of styles, from the slowones we are familiar with to the ones that will keep your feet tapping I did feel, though, that they put theirbest songs at the beginning and the last few tracks were not of quite the same quality Despite this, ‘Hereagain’ is certain to be a big hit and bring more success to this band

A COLD DAY

It is a frigid January day in York, Pennsylvania The temperature is below freezing Snow is starting tofall Dr James turns on the television to check the weather He must leave for his work at the hospital soon
