Period 21 UNIT 4: LEARNING A FOREIGN LANGUAGE Lesson2: Speak I. Teaching points: Practice speaking to persuade someone to do something By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to persuade friends to attend the school they like. II. Teaching aids: Text book, work book, ruler, chalk, board, posters, cards. III. Procedure: Teacher’s activities Students’ activities Display on the board I-Warm up Pelmanism Have Ss work in 2 teams -Stick 10 cards with numbers on the board so that Ss can only see the numbers, make sure the words are mixed up. -Ask Ss to choose two Team work Follow T's guidings; playing game in 2 teams. 1 2 3 4 5 a b c d e 1=England 2=Australia 3=The USA numbers, take turn the crds over. If they have the right match, that team gets one mark. If not, turn the cards over again and ask the next team to continue. -Go on until all cards are turned over.
