Unit 1: My Friends Getting started, listen and read I.Objectives: -By the end of the lesson, sts will be able to describe people’s characters and learn how to introduce their friends to someone. Morale: Educate students how to relax after school. II.Language contents 1.Vocabulary: next- door neighbor. 2.Grammar:- Simple present tense. 3.Structure: - What do/does look like? - What+a/an+N! - (not) adj + enough + to-inf. III.Techniques: Brainstorm, pairwork. IV.Teaching aids: Text book, cassette, 5 pictures. V.Time: 45ms. VI.Procedures: Teacher and students’ activities Contents 1. warm up (Brainstorming) T asks sts some questions about their activities after school. T shows the pictures (a, b, c and d) for sts to observe and ask them to discribe the pictures T does the model of picture (a) and then sts work in pairs. reading playing soccer * Questions: - What do you do after school? - Who do you often play it with ? (a): What are these boys doing? They are playing soccer T calls some pairs to ask and After school activities answer befor the class. T checks and corrects. 2. Presentation: T shows Sts the photo of Hoa and Nien and then asks Sts some questions. T introduces the brief content of the conversation. T explains vocabulary (A person who lives next to your house). T reads vocab  Sts repeat (Chorus and individual). * Checking vocab: Who’s Hoa? Where is she from? Whom does she live with now? - Next-door neighbor: (n) Rub out and remember. Sts listen to the tape once. Sts listen and read after the T 3. Practice: Sts practise the conversation in 1.
