B NUMBERS

- A number in hundred or thousand is singular

Ex: 400: four hundred; 3,000: three thousand

But thousands of people.

- In BE we say and between hundreds or

thousands and tens:

Ex: 642: six hundred and forty two;

2,010: two thousand and ten

- In AE the and is sometimes left out.

• Verbs used to talk about routines/ daily

activities

- Do everyday

Ex: I wake up at 6 o’clock/ I go to school at 7 o’clock.

- Only do at weekends

Ex: I go shopping every Saturday afternoon/ My friends

and I go to coffee shop every Sunday morning.

- Never do

Ex: I don’t eat anything for breakfast.

- Do in the evenings

Ex: I usually read books before going to bed.
