INTRODUCTION
Import and export in general, and the logistics business in particular, have become unavoidable in today's society All countries’ import and export activities are growing increasingly essential Because it serves to expand the economy and enhance commerce in order to make each country's commodities market become more varied As a result, import and export firms are more focused on developing and upgrading service quality to meet the demands of local and international industries And it is the import- export corporations that carry out the procedures and have the processes to export or import items, as well as take care of customs clearance of goods entering or leaving nations
During my internship at ITL LOGISTICS JSC, the knowledge | gained from competent personnel helped me comprehend the procedures required to export goods Therefore, | choose to write about the "THE PROCESS OF EXPORTING GARMENTS BY SEA FROM VIETNAM TO THE U.S AT ITL LOGISTICS JOINT STOCK COMPANY"
This topic helps me to find out the procedure of taking empty container out of the depot and drop it in right CY, the contact between parties in export activity and analyze the key challenges
of the process From that, we may continue to leverage and promote the business's risks in the export activity in general and trucking service for export activity, while also providing solutions
to improve the quality of customer services to develop the company

1.3.2.5 Financing and Accounting Some of the duties and powers of this department are as follows:

- Organize accounting and statistical work in accordance with the provisions of current legal regulations and in accordance with the company's production and business organization model

in different departments Of which, Male accounts for 27.8%, the rest Female 72.2%, there is a rather high disparity This shows a gender imbalance in the business, but it is not a factor affecting the company's revenue Male staffs implement works that such as operation, IT, communicate work staff at the port While female staff implement tasks requiring careful checking such as (document, billing, customer service)
Age: And on the chart, we can see that the company's staff is quite young: 69.9% of employees are under 30 years old and 30.1% of employees are over 30 years old, concentrated in the Sales department With the enthusiasm of youth, combining dynamism and curiosity At the same time, his high creativity and many years of experience show the company's potential for growth from the dedication of this class of employees
Position: Out of a total of 209 people distributed across departments, there are 26 managers along with 183 employees Managers accounted for 12.4% and employees 87.6% This number is reasonable because each department must have a head of the department to monitor, care and promote the individual's work productivity At the same time, listen to the opinions of subordinates, and solve problems together
Education level: According to the chart above, we see that 81.8% of employees have a university degree and 18.2% have a college degree Shows a fairly professional working environment and high professional level Each part will support each other, and complement each other's shortcomings

By 2023, ITL has more than 1,900 employees with more than 90 domestic and international branches, helping ITL get closer and closer to the goal of becoming a leading enterprise in the field of Logistics The report at the end of 2020 showed that ITL's total revenue reached VND 3.705,7 billion VND Profit after tax reached 210,7 billion VND Which, air transportation accounts for more than 60%
of total revenue Inland waterways increased to 32.52 million tons, up 26.46% over the same period in 2019 ITL's business summary report showed that the company's profit increased by 109%, equivalent to 230 billion VND Revenue from sales and service provision in 2021 decreased by 29% compared to 2020, or more than 1,000 billion VND In terms of profit from financial activities, although it increased by more than 35% compared to 2020, it still remained at a negative level Thus, the total profit from business activities tncreased by 115% compared to 2020, equivalent to more than 296 billion VND However, the company's other income decreased by 168%, achieving negative growth, nearly 8 billion VND lower than in
2020 The difficult economic situation has caused the costs to increase significantly, causing the profit growth rate By the beginning of 2022, ITL's growth for the year

2.1 Relevant parties in the importing process

In this process, there are 7 parties relating:
- The exporter (The consignor): This is the goods’ manufacturer In this case, the exporter is from Vietnam, and would like to export garments to the US They implement custom clearance as well as book the vessel themselves

Trang 24- The importer (The consignee): This is the party that receives the consignment from the exporter In this case, the importer is from the US
=> These two parties are the most crucial because they have the demand for delivery goods abroad as well as related parties appear thanks to them Moreover, this consignment is the processed goods sent back to the foreign parent company so there is no commerciality in this process
- The carrier: One of the main duties of this party is delivering the consignment from a place to a place written in the B/L In this case, the freight starts from Germalink Vung Tau Port to Fenix Marine Terminals (Los Angeles, CA)
- Vietnam Customs: This party takes responsibility to inspect and tax the importing goods This party is also important due to implementing customs procedures on behalf of government law about import/ export activities
- ITL Logistics (FTL Dept.): This party provides the domestic trucking service to take the empty container from the determined depot then loads the goods into the container at the customer’s warehouse and drops the container at the determined CY to start the main process
- Place of pick-up empty container: This is the place where to take empty container for the loading process according to the instructions of the shipping line
- Port of Loading: Port of loading (POL) refers to the port where the cargo is loaded onto the shipping vessel or container It is the starting point of the shipping journey and is an important factor in determining shipping costs and transit time The port of loading is usually specified in the shipping contract or bill of lading In this case, the POL is ICD Phuoc Long 3

2.3.1 FTL receives and checking documents for loading goods
The exporter will provide Booking Confirmation, CRO, and some other requirements for FTL to conduct the process through email This is an old customer
of FTL so that there is no delivery contract between FTL and the customer The exporter just needs to provide necessary documents to FTL to carry out obligations according to delivery contract signed before

In order to provide above documents, the exporter will identify which commodity and the quantity of the commodity There are some must-have documents that the consigner has to provide to the Vietnam Customs for them to know about the consignment’s information to implement the customs procedure fluently
