Between 2019 and 2021, Tai Viet JSC experienced a notable decline in revenue, dropping from 15 million VND to over 10 million VND This decrease can be attributed to the considerable effects of the Covid-19 pandemic on the stock market.
In 2019, Vietnam's financial market experienced robust growth driven by stable fiscal policies, monetary easing, and low inflation, making it an attractive destination for foreign investment due to its impressive growth rate This favorable environment significantly boosted the stock market, leading to high revenue for Vietstock as demand for stock information services surged However, the stock market faced a downturn in 2020 and 2021, as the Covid-19 pandemic began to spread in Vietnam, and despite the government's strict measures, the disease could not be fully contained.
The Covid-19 pandemic caused significant and unpredictable fluctuations in Vietnam's economy, a situation that persisted into 2021 As a result, the demand for stock-related services decreased due to the heightened risks associated with the stock market.
Consequently, revenue and profit after tax of Tai Viet JSC in 2020 and 2021 was low compared to the previous years.
