INTRODUCTION

Bill Joyce established Top Deal Auto in Mill Park in 1972, a used automobile dealership that provides a large selection of high-quality vehicles at competitive costs Instead of concentrating on revenues and sales to sell an automobile that is not suitable for them, their priorities are staff and consumers

Top Deal Auto initially faced competition from imdustry juggernauts like Ford and Holden (a division of General Motors), who had a more advanced platform than Top Deal Auto The decision to use their car yard to create a TV show was made in 1978 by a devoted Top Deal Auto client who had gone on to become a movie and television star Thanks to this event, Top Deal Auto was promoted nationally and became the preferred fleet supplier for many businesses and government agencies The business is going well and they now own three car yards and showrooms

PART A: BUSINESS ANALYSIS

Industry background

Karl Benz (Germany) got a patent for his motorcycle tricycle on January 29, 1886, marking the beginning of the global vehicle industry The "Model T,” which cost $825, was the first mass-produced automobile, but it wasn't until 1908 that it was made available for purchase

Before World War I, a number of small businesses, the majority of which made cars by hand, contributed to the growth of the auto industry Notable examples include Rolls- Royce in Great Britain and Ford in the United States, which not only produced cars but also combined their expertise in business management to support the company's expansion

Steam engine implementation was exceedingly expensive and difficult to maintain in the 19th century, but electric motors were commonly used due to their simplicity of use but were still constrained by the battery's capacity By the late 1920s, most automobiles were powered by gasoline engines thanks to consumer acceptance that followed, forcing many manufacturers to make the change

Following the end of World War II (1945), the automobile industry had a major expansion, which resulted in a 35-year increase in the overall production and use of automobiles The development of Nissan Motor and Toyota Motor Corporation by the United States and Japan, two nations that emphasize investment in this sector to promote production, has been successful

The United States is the country with the largest share of the auto industry today, with a number of businesses and enterprises specializing in the manufacture, sale, and upkeep of automobiles, as well as in the advancement of cutting-edge models like electric and hybrid vehicles The remainder is split between many nations, including Australia in particular and Japan, Korea, and Germany

Using the analyzed data of the June 2022 sales statistics provided, this identifier will provide insight into the general demographics of buyers for Top Deal Auto

Car buyers are very concerned about affordability because “Had the lowest/a low interest rate” and “Offered a monthly payment I can afford” are top reasons for Choosing Car Dealers according to Cox Automotive, 2022 Besides, , Top Deal Auto's catalog barely has any items over $50,000 indicating that the most important criterion when buying a car is price

Furthermore, by income demographics, a single person would earn around less than

$50,000 per year but the income and median age of car buyers now $800,000 and 53 respectively suggest they are likely married (Hedges Company, 2019)

The elements

a) Affordance

By default, customers will be redirected to the Home page when they visit the website

On the top left of the page is the company name “Top Deal Auto” The homepage will include options below such as "Find me a car" to help customers see the products available in the store, "Finance” and "Sell your car"(Figure 5) All services or requests will be displayed at the top right of the page Depending on the needs of the customer and give their click

b) Constraints

At the purchase page, customers can easily filter out the type of vehicle they are looking for based on criteria such as year of manufacture, price, brand, then the system will search and give a list of suitable vehicles meet the target (Figure 6) When the process is complete, they will be directed to a rendering page containing full vehicle information including the vehicle's full name, the price of the vehicle to be removed, the vehicle's image, its functions, (Figure 7)

c) Consistency:

The website shows the company name on the top left and all the services on the top left like "contact" if the customer needs company information for consultation Therefore, customers can switch to any page they want

d) Visibility:

With the goal of simplicity but still meeting the needs of customers, the company's website is designed to be minimalistic to bring a user-friendly look, but still be responsive

to ensure customers do not find it difficult to use

e) Feedback:

"contact" nght at the home page, the comments will be sent to the company

Three additional tools:

a) Linking the main business site to a social network site:

On the right corner of the home page, there is a logo "Facebook", if customers click, they will be directed to Top Deal Auto's Facebook fanpage

b) Better website search engine presence

Engaging content is a great way to communicate with customers and regular viewers while also reaching out to them online This strategy can be quite beneficial for bringing

in new customers and raising retention rates because a business's constant presence gives

it more credibility

c) Internationalisation options:

Top Deal Auto has not become a big player in the locality, so it is not possible to export products to foreign countries, but the company's website supports displaying languages other than English

CONCLUSION

Over the years, Top Deal Auto, an automaker with a solid history and reputation, has offered its clients the best services possible They lack experience in using social media

as a medium to explore business in the 20th century because they are newly employed The business’ marketing efforts on Facebook, Instagram, Carsales, and other channels have been used to analyze this issue Moreover, they must comprehend the benefits and drawbacks when compared to the nval businesses in the sector This has also been analyzed using SWOT and Porter's 5 forces Therefore, they must capitalize on their advantages and improve their weaknesses In addition, the website for Top Deal Auto is also designed to help businesses develop more through online channels
