Trang 11.What do you think a candidate should do to prepare for a job interview? Use specific examples and details to support your answer
When it comes to what an applicant should do before a job interview, people have different opinions Personally, I think they should research the company
in advance and practice the common interview questions And there are several reasons to support my opinions
First of all, researching the company before attending any job interview is beneficial for candidates They can spend time searching their company’s website, reading current information, news, articles about them, and
understanding their missions and values This helps applicants get to know more about their company and align their skills and experience with the
company's needs, which increases their value to employers In my own
experience, last year, I applied for a marketing position at ABC company Before attending an interview, I researched the company thoroughly by
understanding the company's strategy and campaign Thanks to my
preparation, during the interview, I was able to discuss my experience and necessary skills in marketing and how they could contribute to the company’s goals As a result, I passed the interview successfully
Secondly, I think that candidates should practice the common interview
questions to prepare for their job interviews because it is very important and helpful for them To be specific, there are many common questions about the interview By practicing these questions in advance, the applicants can reduce anxiety and boost confidence They can respond more clearly and confidently, making a positive impression on interviewers For example, one of my friends, Jenny, had an interview for her job at XYZ company last month It was her first interview experience and she did not prepare or practice any questions about the interview When she was asked about her strengths and weaknesses, she was unable to answer them smoothly and confidently She was very
anxious and lacked the confidence so she could not respond thoughtfully, which caused a decline in her performance and estimation Therefore, she could not pass the interview and missed a chance to join that company
In conclusion, candidates should research the company and practice the
common interview questions before taking part in an interview Preparing thoroughly allows them to show themselves as well-qualified candidates
during the interview For these reasons, applicants should do careful
preparation before a job interview
Trang 22 What are some advantages and disadvantages of changing jobs
frequently?
Nowadays, many people tend to change their job more often There are
advantages and disadvantages of this tendency It helps them gain more
experience and avoid getting bored However, it may waste their time adapting
to a new environment
On the one hand, switching jobs frequently brings many benefits First, it helps people gain more experience, broaden their horizons and expand their
knowledge in many fields This is because when they change jobs, they will be exposed to diverse work environments, allowing them to learn new things, use different tools and keep their skills up-to-date, which significantly enhances their work performance For example, one of my friends, Jenny, has changed jobs many times since last year She has worked in different positions such as a marketing representative, a salesperson, an accountant and a financial analyst Although she faced a lot of difficulties in the beginning, she was able to
improve her skills in a variety of fields and gain comprehensive insight into different business approaches
Second, when people change their jobs often, they can easily avoid being bored To be specific, each job has different tasks and challenges, keeping employees more engaged in their work and fostering creativity to increase productivity and efficiency This can help them prevent boredom and
monotony during working If they do a job for a long time without innovation, they will feel bored and lack motivation to continue their work Moreover, each company offers diverse cultures and work environments By working in different jobs, they will gain a variety of experience, which keeps their
professional life fresh and interesting Therefore, changing jobs regularly helps people avoid boredom and make their careers more exciting and fulfilling
On the other hand, quitting one job and finding another too often comes with disadvantages The biggest drawback is wasting time adapting to a new
environment Specifically, when they work new jobs, they have to spend
plenty of time learning new processes, tools and systems, which reduces work productivity and efficiency It also takes several times to adjust to a new
company’s culture, value and work setting For instance, my brother has
switched jobs three times and he worked in three different companies Then he had trouble adapting to each new company’s culture and environment It took him a lot of time to get used to different cultures and processes, which
gradually led to stress and a decline in his job performance
Trang 3In conclusion, changing jobs regularly brings people both benefits and
drawbacks It helps them gain more experience and avoid getting bored However, it may waste their time adapting to a new environment For these reasons, people should consider pros and cons before deciding to change jobs frequently
