It is often said that a good leader must have the ability to make quick

decisions Personally, I strongly agree with that statement because it helps leaders grab opportunities, build confidence among team members

First of all, quick decision making skills can significantly contribute to a good leader since it can help leaders to seize opportunities To be specific,

opportunities often have a limited time frame so making decisions quickly can help leaders avoid missing the opportunities For example, market conditions can change unexpectedly and rapidly so a quick decision to buy or sell stocks

at the right moment can gain numerous profits If the leaders are unable to come to a decision at that time, companies can lose a chance to gain revenues

In another example, being the first to launch a new product can provide a significant competitive edge as quick decision-making allows companies to establish and increase brand recognition early

Secondly, making decisions quickly allows leaders to build confidence among team members Specifically, to help employees have a sense of trust and

security, a good leader should make wise decisions to handle some unexpected circumstances and overcome difficulties In my own experience, last year, I worked in an ABC company and our leader, Tom, although he was proficient

at other skills, lacked quick decision making skills When we faced financial difficulties, he was unable to make decisions at the time, which led to use facing challenges and potential financial losses Hence, our staff member lost trust in him and did not feel secure or confident in his leadership This caused a decrease in team morale and performance, which prevented the company from achieving common goals

In conclusion, I truly agree that a person must have quick decision making skills to be a good leader It enables leaders to grab opportunities, build

confidence among team members For these reasons, people should consider making decisions quickly to be a good leader

Nowadays, many people tend to work from home since modern technology has been more and more developed There are advantages and disadvantages of this tendency It helps people get rid of commuting time However, it may lead

to distraction and difficulty in discussion

On the one hand, the biggest advantage of working at home is that it helps people save time This is because they just stay at home to work throughout the day They do not have to spend plenty of time commuting to work every day and the time saved can be used for doing exercises, preparing meals, cleaning the house or engaging in personal activities For instance, my sister worked in

an ABC company last year and she had to commute to her office daily It took her about one hour to get there so she had to wake up early in the morning to prepare Therefore, she didn’t have enough time to do her personal activities and she also felt stressed and uncomfortable Since she changed to work from home, she has been better and saved more time to pursue her personal

activities and spend time with her family

On the other hand, working from home has many disadvantages First,

telecommuting can cause difficulties in discussing with other team members

To be specific, when they work at home, they have no opportunities to interact

in person with other people in their workplace, which could decrease their work efficiency In case they have some problems with their tasks which need

to be discussed by team members, it is difficult for them to solve them and cooperate effectively to achieve common goals This can lead to a decline in a supportive and cooperative environment

Another disadvantage is that people can easily be distracted by other things when they work at home In my own experience, last month, I had a freelance job that required working from home However, during work hours, I was interrupted frequently by my younger brother He asked me to prepare meals for him and help him with homework This significantly impacted my

concentration and reduced my work productivity and efficiency Not only that sometimes I was distracted by personal activities, such as watching TV,

playing games or browsing social media, potentially leading to lower

productivity since I became engrossed in those things that I forgot to continue

my work

In conclusion, working remotely brings both benefits and drawbacks It helps people get rid of commuting time However, it may lead to distraction and difficulty in discussion For these reasons, people should consider choosing the work environment
