12 seaports of class I (key regional general ports); 18 seaports of class II (local general ports) and 13 seaports of class III (offshore oil and gas ports) Vietnamese seaports possess about 92.2 km of long berths, with a total capacity of over 550 million tons / year The key regional ports: Hai Phong, Da Nang, Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Ho Chi Minh City have been upgraded to receive ships of up to 30,000 DWT Many ports such as Cai Mep - Thi Vai receive ships of hundreds of thousands of tons Regarding the Cai Mep port (the port is expected to be the port of choice for Peek): - TCIT is the only deep-water port in Vietnam can receive ships of 10,000 TEU and larger one time, while ensuring high productivity when loading and unloading cargo for vessels There are ICDs in central locations, large industrial zones such as ICD Tan Cang- Song Than (Binh Duong), ICD Tan Cang - Long Binh (Dong Nai), ICD Tan Cang - Nhon Trach, ICD Tan Cang - Que Vo (Bac Ninh), ICD Tan Cang - Ha Nam, ICD Tan Cang - Tay Ninh, ICD Tan Cang - Hai Phong, and ICD Tan Cang - Da Nang Currently, Tan Cang - Cai Mep port has direct service from Vietnam to the East and West Coast of the United States, to Europe and the Inner Asia service operated by the world's major shipping alliances such as THE ALLIANCE, OCEAN ALLIANCE, 2M + HMM deployed - Area and infrastructure: There is a total area of 160 hectares Total length of the wharf is 2040m (10 berths) Train navigation channel has a negative depth of 14 meters; the harbor area is negative 16.8 meters; The ship's rotation area is 600 meters wide, very suitable for serving super ships up to 160,000 DWT (equivalent to 14,000 TEU) Capacity 1,115 million TEU REPORT FIATA PRESENTATION | Group - Equipment: Shore-crane: 10 units Cranes: 22 e-RTGs (6 + 1) Barge crane: berths / cranes Forklift truck: units Empty forklift truck: units Tractor truck: 71 units Refrigeration socket: 1,080 drives - Location: Located in a position just 15 nautical miles to the main channel Direct access to -14m channel Minimum depth along the wharf reaches -16.5m Wide, safe and convenient ship rotation position near the port - Warehouses of Cai Mep: The total warehouse area is 1,000,000 m2 including CFS warehouse, bonded warehouse, cool warehouse, IMDG warehouse according to international standards The 55-hectare container yard with a capacity of nearly 51,500 teus Fully equipped with surveillance cameras on modern fire and explosion prevention systems 2.2 Sea transport market Vietnam's logistics services have a growth rate of 12-14%, contributing about 4-5% of GDP However, the cost is too high compared to the world average At the Vietnam logistics forum 2020, the Minister of Industry and Trade stated that the focus on investment in the development of key and key transport infrastructure has contributed to a reasonable restructuring of the transport sector, ensuring Harmonious connection of modes of transport However, service costs are still high because of the limitations on the size of the business and capital, the ability to apply information technology as well as the level of human resources that have not met the requirements of the operation, limited infrastructure logistics layer and road transport costs, port surcharges imposed by foreign ship owners, In general, in the field of transportation, warehousing, post and delivery, Vietnam's logistics market is attracting more than 30,000 enterprises In which, mainly railway, road and pipeline transport enterprises (59.02%), followed by warehousing businesses and transport support activities (33.26%), the rest are water transport companies (5.27%), air transportation (0.02%) and postal services (2.34%) According to the World Bank Report 2018, Vietnam's logistics performance index (LPI) ranked 39 out of 60 countries participating in the study, up 25 places compared to REPORT FIATA PRESENTATION | Group 2016 and ranked third among the ASEAN countries Vietnam is also the top ranked country in emerging markets This is the result of the most recent survey and also the best result that Vietnam has since the World Bank implemented the LPI ranking since 2007 2.3 The reality of the cost of the Logistics industry in our country At the Logistics forum 2020, a business said, too high logistics costs are one of the main obstacles that reduce the competitiveness of businesses in Vietnam, particularly factors such as warehouse costs, transportation, customer service, distribution operations, factors from the macro environment In particular, the companies said that the state is not tough enough to support land fund, warehouse rental fees or planning to help reduce costs, one of the core reasons for the price of Logistics to be pushed up high And "high gasoline prices, traffic congestion, unfavorable transport infrastructure, non-transparent surcharges, high and high surcharges " are also among the complaints of experts when talking about the reasons why the outbound shipping industry is not growing However, in retrospect, recently, the business community has recognized the Government's efforts in building a comprehensive framework and policy to develop the logistics industry In recent years, the legal system related to the logistics industry has made many significant developments; remove institutional bottlenecks, promote the development of the logistics industry in particular and the business environment in general The biggest change of the logistics industry is to untie, give back the freedom of business to the logistics industry in our country and take the logistics industry out of the business of conditional investment under the Investment Law 2020 In addition to the achievements, there are still many challenges in the field of logistics that businesses are facing, one of which is the high cost of logistics services, the problem has been reiterated for many years, but not yet can be solved effectively According to statistics of research company Armstrong & Associates (USA), logistics service costs in Vietnam equivalent to 20,9% of GDP, much higher than Southeast Asia in particular and Asia in general, high almost twice that of developed countries and 14% higher than the global average In logistics costs in Vietnam, transportation costs are too high, equivalent to 30-40% of product costs, while this ratio is only about 15% in other countries This directly reduces the goods competitiveness of enterprises For the logistics industry of Vietnam to develop, it is necessary to apply better technology in logistics activities This is the key for Vietnamese businesses to reduce operating costs, improve competitiveness and thrive in the integration period REPORT FIATA PRESENTATION | Group SCHEDULE ANALYSIS 3.1 Receiving goods Cargo - children's clothing was placed in three factories in Binh Duong province by Peek with a weight of 20 CBM / week / factory and asked our company to ship the goods to Los Angeles quickly and the most convenient This means that we will receive 60 CBM / week of cargo and deliver the goods as Peek's request by checking the vessel schedule to choose a suitable shipping line in terms of time and cost, choosing the right port for the goods to arrive at a destination quickly The day the goods are ready to leave the port each week is on Thursday Suppose, three factories in Binh Duong are geographically close to each other, maybe all three are located in the same industrial park: Option 1: our company will rent container on Thursday and go to each factory in turn to load the goods of each factory Then will go to the port to export the goods Option 2: our company will hire small trucks to carry the right quantity of goods in each factory and then bring it to the CFS warehouse at the port on Thursday to save warehousing costs From there, the goods will be loaded into container With option 1, the queuing from each factory in turn will prevent us from measuring the balance for the container, which may cause unnecessary risks such REPORT FIATA PRESENTATION | Group as the wrong loading or the inability to calculate the position mind to line up to make room Option will solve most of the difficulties that option can cause, so it will be very convenient for moving as well as loading in containers 3.2 Selecting container Types of container Cont 20’ Cont 40’ Cont 40’ high Length 589 cm 1200 cm 1200 cm Width 234 cm 234 cm 234 cm Height 239.5 cm 239.2 cm 269.8 cm Capacity 26-28 CBM 56.58CBM Maximum 33 CBM 66 CBM 76.29 CBM According to the above container measurements, with a cargo volume of 20 CBM / week / factory, we can choose three 20 feet containers already loaded at three factories, or we can load 60 CBM goods into 40 feet high containers after being transported by the minivans to the common CFS warehouse at the port So, what type of container will we choose to facilitate the transportation and cost? We will choose a 45-feet container and put all the goods in, because: • First, convenient in loading into containers The goods we transport are children's clothing, light weight, large area, so choose 40 feet high container - large container area - easy to load goods with 60 CBM For a 40 feet container, loading 60 CBM cargo will exceed the capacity of 56-58 CBM for this container Therefore, for the efficient loading and transportation of goods and avoid risks, it is best to choose 40 feet high containers • Second, shipping lines nowadays tend to produce mainly 40 feet high containers and bulk carriers also arrange space for 40 feet high containers Each container ship will be calculated many positions to place the container so that it is reasonable and each location will have a size that fits the size of the container and will usually be 40 feet or 40 feet high container The 20 feet container will be placed by the shipping company in an empty position or where it is difficult to encounter situations such as dropping the container • Third, from an economic point of view in the logistics industry, this container has the same freight and THC charges as 40 feet containers When using a 40 feet high container, although the THC charge is higher than the 20 feet container, it's only 3040% higher So instead of carrying 20 feet containers, which will cost times, we choose a 40 feet high container to carry more goods, cheaper and more convenient 3.3 Transportation 10 REPORT FIATA PRESENTATION | Group a) Warehouse to port After the goods are loaded onto small trucks, our company will transport the goods to the CFS warehouse at Cai Mep port to load the container as calculated, about 80 km from Binh Duong and take about hours to go to port We will transport to the port before or during day to avoid the unintended while reducing costs at the port warehouse, in time for loading on board Choose Cai Mep port because: • It is the largest and most developed port in the South of our country, with modern transportation system and good service and reasonable price • A large port suitable for the entry and exit of ships • The port from Binh Duong to this port is relatively close, making the transport of goods to the port convenient and fast, and the travel costs are reduced b) Goods at Cai Mep port At Cai Mep port, our containers will be loaded onto the ship that we previously booked Once the container is on board, we can be somewhat assured that our goods will not be left in the yard The cargo containers will be transported by sea across the Pacific Ocean and directly to Long Beach port on the US west coast within about 28 to 30 days from the date of departure c) When goods arrive at Long Beach - During the process of goods being transported from Cai Mep port to Long Beach port, the notice of arrival of our goods has also arrived at Long Beach port - Upon receiving notification of arrival (NOA), the owner of the goods brings the original bill of lading and the agency's referral to the carrier to obtain the D/O - The owner of goods brings D/O to the customs for customs procedures and registration for goods inspection (owner can request to bring the whole container to its own warehouse or ICD for customs inspection, but must return the container on time or the penalty will be imposed) - After completing the customs procedures, the owner of the goods must bring a set of goods receipt including C/O, Sales Contract, Packing List and D/O to the ship management office at the port to confirm the D/O 11 REPORT FIATA PRESENTATION | Group - Get the release note and receive the goods 12 REPORT FIATA PRESENTATION | Group SHIP SCHEDULE TO LONG BEACH PORT 4.1 Alliances 2016 was a year of turmoil for the container shipping industry A large global shipping company was excluded from the game, the remaining shipping lines have joined together to co-exist, leading to the three largest shipping lines alliances in history, the birth and domination of the market in for years Overcapacity and the global trade slowdown have forced industry giants to merge or form alliances, aiming to cut operating costs by hundreds of millions of dollars through ship sharing and port These alliances are 2M, Ocean Alliance and THE Alliance respectively These three shipping lines alliances will account for 77.2% of global container traffic and dominate the international maritime route with 96% of the shipping traffic Ocean Alliance is the alliance with the highest number of service routes with 40 routes THE Alliance ranked second with 32 services and followed by 2M with 25 services As for the Asia - US West Coast, Ocean Alliance is leading with 13 routes, THE Alliance owns 11 routes and 2M has only routes 4.2 Alliances’s service maps Carrier SERVICE Hapag Lloyd PS3 POL (Terminal) POD (Terminal) Frequency Transit time (days) TAN CANG CAIMEP INTL TERMINAL (TCIT) Trapac, LLC (Long Beach,CA) Sunday 21 days CY cut-off VGM cut- Docume off ion cut 2021-03-21 2021-03-18 (13:00) 13 (19:00) 2021-0 (11:0 REPORT FIATA PRESENTATION | Group Carrier Hapag Lloyd TAN CANG CAIMEP INTL TERMINAL (TCIT) Trapac, LLC (Long Beach,CA) Thursday YANG MING TAN CANG CAIMEP INTL TERMINAL (TCIT) Trapac, LLC (Long Beach,CA) Sunday ONE TAN CANG CAIMEP INTL TERMINAL (TCIT) Trapac, LLC (Long Beach,CA) Saturday 27 days 2021-03-24 2021-03-23 (01:00) 2021-0 ONE TAN CANG CAIMEP INTL TERMINAL (TCIT) Trapac, LLC (Long Beach,CA) Saturday 20 days 2021-03-17 2021-03-16 (06:00) 2021-0 ONE TAN CANG Trapac, LLC CAI MEP INTL (Long TERMINAL Beach,CA) (TCIT) Saturday 24 days 2021-03-02 2021-03-01 (07:00) 2021-0 SERVICE POL (Terminal) POD (Terminal) 2021-03-31 2021-03-30 Frequency (23:00) (11:00) 2021-03-20 2021-03-18 (11:0 2021-0 21 days (14:00) Transit time (days) 2021-0 24 days (20:00) VGM cutoff CY cut-off 14 (10:0 Documenta tion cut-off REPORT FIATA PRESENTATION | Group OOCL TAN CANG CAIMEP INTL TERMINA L (TCIT) Long Beach Container Terrminal (Pier E) Monday 26 days 2021-03-02 (19:00) 2021-03-01 19:00 2021-03-01 (19:00) COSCO TAN CANG CAIMEP INTL TERMINA L (TCIT) Long Beach Container Terrminal (Pier E) Friday 23 days 2021-03-09 (19:00) 2021-03-08 (19:00) 2021-03-02 (19:00) TAN CANG CAIMEP INTL TERMINA L (TCIT) Long Beach Container Terrminal (Pier E) Tuesday 22 days 2021-03-30 (19:00) 2021-03-29 (19:00) 2021-03-29 (19:00) VGM cutoff Documenta tion cut-off PVSC CMACGM Carrier SERVICE POL (Terminal) POD (Terminal) Frequency Transit CY cut-off time (days) 15 REPORT FIATA PRESENTATION | Group OOCL Gemalink (CMP) Felix Marine Service LA Wednesday 21 days 2021-03-31 2021-03-30 (12:00) (12:00) 2021-03-30 (12:00) OOCL Gemalink (CMP) Felix Marine Service LA Wednesday 24 days 2021-03-17 2021-03-16 (12:00) (12:00) 2021-03-16 (12:00) OOCL Gemalink (CMP) Felix Marine Service LA Saturday 28 days 2021-03-03 (12:00) 2021-03-02 (12:00) 2021-03-02 (12:00) COSC O Gemalink (CMP) Felix Marine Service LA Wednesday 21 days 2021-03-30 2021-03-30 (12:00) (12:00) 2021-03-30 (12:00) SEAP 16 REPORT FIATA PRESENTATION | Group QUOTATION G2 Logistics 19 Nguyen Huu Tho Street, Tan Phong Ward, District 7, Ho Chi Minh City Tel: 123456789 -
