FLOWCHART OF GLANCE: GLANCE meaning A quick glance can make a payment Figure 05: Glance’s technical flowchart (Source: Author) 10 CORE TECHNOLOGY IN GLANCE: 4.1 Core technology in AI Face recognition is a biometric approach that employs automated methods to verify or recognize the identity of a living person based on his/her physiological characteristics Face recognition has the benefit of being a passive, non intrusive system to verify personal identity in a “natural” and friendly way In addition, the problem of machine recognition of human faces continues to attract researchers from disciplines such as image processing, pattern recognition, neural networks, computer vision, computer graphics, and psychology Areas Specific applications Video game, virtual reality, training programs Entertainment Human-robot-interaction,human-computer-interaction Drivers’ licenses, entitlement programs Smart cards Immigration, national ID, passports, voter registration Welfare fraud TV Parental control, personal device logon, desktop logon Application security, database security, file encryption Information security Intranet security, internet access, medical records Secure trading terminals Advanced video surveillance, CCTV control Law enforcement and surveillance Portal control, postevent analysis Shoplifting, suspect tracking and investigation Figure 06: Specific applications A general statement of the problem of machine recognition of faces can be formulated as follows: given still or video images of a scene, identify or verify one or more persons in the scene using a stored database of faces The solution to the problem involves segmentation of faces (face detection) from cluttered scenes, feature extraction from the face regions, recognition, or verification (Figure 1) In identification problems, the input to 11 the system is an unknown face, and the system reports back the determined identity from a database of known individuals, whereas in verification problems, the system needs to confirm or reject the claimed identity of the input face Figure 07: Configuration of a generic face recognition system Face recognition starts with the detection of face patterns in sometimes cluttered scenes, proceeds by normalizing the face images to account for geometrical and illumination changes, possibly using information about the location and appearance of face landmarks, identifies the faces using appropriate classification algorithms, and post processes the results using model-based schemes and logistic feedback 12 All face recognition algorithms are consistent of two major parts: (1) face detection and normalization and (2) face identification Algorithms that consist of both parts are referred to as fully automatic algorithms and those that consist of only the second part are called partially automatic algorithms Partially automatic algorithms are given a facial image and the coordinates of the center of the eyes Fully automatic algorithms are only given facial images Figure 08: Face recognition (Source: Freepik) 4.2 Core technology to make apps – FrontEnd React Native is an open-source JavaScript framework, designed for building apps on multiple platforms like iOS, Android, and also web applications, utilizing the very same code base It is based on React, and it brings all its glory to mobile app development React Native uses JavaScript to compile the app’s user interface, but using native-OS views For more complex features, it allows code implementation in OS-native languages (Swift and Objective-C for iOS, and Java and Kotlin for Android) 13 Figure 09: (Source: dev.to) 4.3 Core technology in BackEnd Django is an advanced Web framework written in Python that makes use of the model view controller (MVC) architectural pattern Django was created in a fast-moving newsroom environment, and its key objective is to ease the development of complicated, databasedriven websites This Web framework was initially developed for The World Company for managing some of their news-oriented sites In July 2005, it was publicly released under a BSD license Django is available as an open-source Web framework, and it uses Python extensively to create files, settings and data models It is designed to address two main challenges: the rigorous requirements of highly experienced Web developers and the intense deadlines of a newsroom Django concentrates more on automating wherever possible and sticking to the "don't repeat yourself" principle 4.3.1 Advantages of Django Django's top advantage is its ability to design, create websites and applications surprisingly quickly In addition, below Bizfly lists the pluses that make this framework stand out and are widely used by programmers 14 • Good security: Working with Django, programmers have almost no space to make any security mistakes It helps developers avoid all common errors such as clicks, cross-page scripts, SQL injections, request tampering, As a result, the product created by this framework has extremely good security • Expand as much as you like: Django has an extensive feature available to help programmers manage traffic, suitable for pages with large traffic • Easy to use: Django is created by Python programming language and MVC model, so it is easy to apply in projects Multilingual and Multi-Site supported • Easy to learn: There are many materials that support learning Django, including free online materials and printed books The Django user community is now thriving, newbies can seek help on facebook pages, forums, blogs, 4.3.2 Cons of Django Besides the above advantages, Django also has some disadvantages that you need to consider before using them The following are specific: • There may be some problems when developing small-scale applications/ websites • Relatively difficult routing • Do not issue warnings when errors appear in the template Figure 10: (Source: hackersandslackers.com0 15 COMPARE EXISTING
