allow them to gain a wealth of knowledge and practice soft skills in a real workplace setting Because of the increased demand for global exchange and intergration, English is being used more and more widely Many universities, in particular, have made English certifications such as IELTS, TOEIC, and others mandatory because they can demonstrate proficiency in the use of language Some students attempt to obtain these certifications as part of their school's requirement prior to graduation, while others study abroad Furthermore, English certification is a powerful tool for people looking for a good job with a high salary That is why people are more likely to enroll in additional English classes ZIM Academy school, a renowned English center specializing in English certification training and a platinum partner of the British Council, was formed in order to address this need and the aim to develop English proficiency among Vietnamese people This is the reason I decided to conduct an internship with this business as an English consultant Onboarding the organization provided me with the chance to improve my future résumé in addition to acquiring practical working skills to be applied Related to the intership report, it is devided into main chapters Particulary, in chapter one, I detail all basic information about Eduvator Joint Stock company including history, products, vision and goals and company structure diagram and information about the company In chapter two, the internship process is focused on I mentioned about the task performed during working as an english consultant at ZIM Academy school and pointed out the difficulties encountered as well as solutions to overcome these dilemmas during this process Chapter three demonstrated the reality of using english at ZIM Academy school and how to enhance english ability Overall, after detailed chapters about this business and the internship position at ZIM Academy school, I present a summary of information and suggest directions for my thesis topic related to the impact of anxiety on English Language Performance and stategies for overcoming it ii INTRODUCTION Reason for intership The reason for undertaking an internship as a consultant at an English center was to gain practical experience in the field of consulting and to acquire an understanding of the education industry The objective was to delve deeper into the various challenges faced by language centers and to learn effective solutions to those challenges During the internship, the consultant had the opportunity to work closely with experienced consultants and observe their problem-solving approach Various consulting frameworks and methodologies were applied to real-life cases, deepening the understanding of the field Effective communication skills were also developed, as well as the ability to present ideas and recommendations Moreover, the dynamic and fast-paced work environment at the English center challenged the consultant to improve time-management and decision-making skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team setting These skills will be of great benefit in the future career.The insights gained and skills honed will enable a meaningful contribution to the field of consulting, particularly within the education industry Internship Objectives The primary objective of the internship as an English consultant is to enhance language proficiency, develop professional communication skills, gain practical experience in language consulting, and to analyze the effectiveness of language teaching methodologies Through the internship, students have the opportunity to immerse themselves in a real-world work environment, where they can not only gain insight into the demands of their chosen profession, but also assess their own skills and areas for improvement Internship scope The internship period lasts for four weeks at ZIM Academy, starting from January 01, 2023, to English certification exam preparation Accordingly, the English training at the Company is committed to the output, ensuring the teaching according to the focused personalized learning method, the basic to advanced grammar knowledge system, saving 80% of the time for students Eduvator is a company that manages and operates the ZIM English language training system It specializes in IELTS examination preparation and production of IELTS preparation materials The company's teacher team is required to have a minimum IELTS score of 7.5 and the majority of the teachers (80%) have scores ranging from 8.0 to 8.5 In addition to teaching, the teachers receive training in teaching skills and are required to participate in various professional development activities such as mock tests, writing exercises, and IELTS re-examination This continuous improvement process ensures high-quality teaching In the past seven years, ZIM has rapidly developed and expanded its system from one to twelve branches throughout the country, with four branches in Hanoi, seven in Ho Chi Minh City, and one in Danang The number of students who took and passed the IELTS has reached 5,000 One of the significant milestones in the company's history is its partnership with the British Council in August 2017, where it became a silver partner of the international organization dedicated to cultural and services The company offers two major certifications, the IELTS and the TOEIC, which are widely recognized around the world Their IELTS program covers a wide range of levels, from beginner to advanced, and the goal is to achieve an IELTS score of 7.5 The TOEIC certification, on the other hand, is available for scores ranging from to 900 In addition to these certifications, ZIM also offers an English course specifically designed for working-age adults, with a focus on the hotel and tourism industry The company also provides several supplementary services, such as mock IELTS and TOEIC exams that simulate the real test environment Over 35,000 candidates have taken these mock exams at ZIM's 12 branches throughout the country The company also provides IELTS writing correction services for students center, creating monthly salary sheets for employees and teachers Service admins are in charge of organizing mock exams for external customers and students to attract brand recognition, registering IELTS exams for students or customers at the British Council and IDP Education, receiving and delivering book orders compiled by the center Project Management (01 operation manager, 01 HR manager): - HR Manager: Ensures effective recruitment of personnel and personnel supply to meet company needs, develops the staff of employees according to company requirements - Operation Manager: Ensures individuals and departments within the company perform their duties and tasks effectively and efficiently, avoiding overlap of tasks between departments, assigns responsibilities and tasks 1.1.5 The business situation of ZIM Academy school from 2019 - 2022 For over seven years since its establishment in 2016, ZIM Academy has been constantly enhancing its English teaching standards and professional learning environment, enabling its students to attain the highest certifications possible As an educational company, it places a high emphasis on prestige and quality The English courses offered by ZIM Academy are marketed to clients through consultants and sales representatives, as well as through various channels such as the academy's website, advertisements on social media such as Facebook, Zalo and so on This extensive marketing strategy has resulted in a steady increase in enrollment over the years, despite the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, leading to a continued growth in revenue for the business Prior to the outbreak of the pandemic, ZIM's pure revenue was VND 1.256.700, which had increased by about 1.5 times by 2022 However, the pandemic broke out in the early 2019 to late 2020, and the center shifted to online learning while the majority of the population was not yet trending towards online learning To promote their English language courses, the center increased their sales and marketing costs by 40% to attract customers In conclusion, during the complicated period from 2019 to 2020, the center's profit still increased significantly by approximately 45% This is considered a success in the business field, especially in education As of December 2022, the profit was almost double compared to the previous year The sales and marketing costs were stable while the business management costs increased by VND 1.358.000.000, a 57% increase This can be explained by the fact that ZIM's brand and reputation for quality have become well known, so branches don't need to invest too much in sales and marketing CHAPTER 2: INTRODUCTION TO THE INTERNSHIP PROCESS 2.1 Tasks performed during the internship 2.1.1 General information about the intern position The intern position as an English consultant at ZIM provides an opportunity for individuals to gain experience in customer service and education consulting The internship position at ZIM as an English Consultant involves three stages During the first stage, the Study Consultant will receive customer data from the marketing department and then advise students on the appropriate courses and register the courses for the customers In the second stage, the consultant will provide support to the students during the course of their studies at ZIM by accompanying the lead teacher in case they encounter any difficulties In the final stage, an English consultant will support students in taking certification exams (if applicable) The job requirements for this position include a basic level of English proficiency and communication skills, as well as the ability to handle situations with flexibility During the course of work, the consultant will receive comprehensive training on counseling skills and the company's products from the center manager The benefits of working in this position include exposure to a diverse customer base and the opportunity to develop soft skills, including English proficiency Additionally, the company has a progressive career progression plan that is tailored to the abilities of each individual 2.1.2 The particular tasks in the internship process The internship period as an English Consultant at ZIM lasts more than weeks, starting from January 1st,2023 to January 22, 2023 My working time is quite flexible, however I used to work full time from 8am to 5pm or 1pm to 9pm everyday except for Sunday and special holidays As an English consultant at ZIM, my internship position involves several key tasks that contribute to the success of the organization's objectives The process is divided into three distinct phases, each with its own set of responsibilities and outcomes In the first phase, I am responsible for receiving customer data from the marketing department, analyzing their learning needs and preferences, and advising them on the most appropriate courses This involves effective communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to synthesize complex information into a clear and concise format for the customer Additionally, I am tasked with registering the customer for their desired course In the second phase, I am required to provide ongoing support to students throughout their course of study at ZIM This involves working closely with the primary teacher to monitor student progress, address any challenges that may arise, and provide guidance and resources to facilitate their success This phase requires a deep understanding of the curriculum, the ability to provide effective feedback, and a strong commitment to the development and growth of the student An English Consultant at ZIM need to provide clients with the following benefits during their studies: Customers will receive expert instruction and practice with highly knowledgeable and continuously updating teachers Second, flexible schedules and locations are offered through the widespread presence of ZIM language centers and online programs tailored to each customer's needs Third, a comprehensive library of learning materials is available, including books, documents, and practice exams created by ZIM Fourth, the method of all relevant procedures and protocols are followed In conclusion, my role as an English consultant at ZIM requires a combination of technical, interpersonal, and organizational skills I am confident that my experience, skills, and passion for education will enable me to excel in this role and make a positive impact on the students I serve At the end of the course at ZIM, students have shown significant improvement in their English language skills They have been able to effectively communicate in English Their confidence in speaking English has increased, allowing them to express themselves fluently The quality of education and the dedication of the teachers at ZIM have been instrumental in the students' success The curriculum has been wellstructured, covering all the essential areas of English language proficiency The students have had access to a wealth of learning resources, including books, multimedia materials, and online resources Overall, the students have had a positive experience at ZIM and are well-prepared to continue their language learning journey In addition, many students have achieved IELTS English language certificates ranging from 5.5 to 7.5, which is evidence of the high-quality training provided at ZIM Particularly, there is a student who achieved 8.5 IELTS as per the latest information on January 20, 2023 13 1.4 Image of students during several ways Firstly, there are some students who are not motivated to learn English Some students may be reluctant to participate in activities, ask questions or complete 14
