UNIT 6 MY NECK, MY SHOULDERS I Objectives By the end of this lesson, students will be able to know and use comparative adjectives II Language Focus 1 Vocabulary words related to the topic about clothe.

UNIT 6: MY NECK, MY SHOULDERS I Objectives By the end of this lesson, students will be able to: - know and use comparative adjectives II Language Focus Vocabulary: words related to the topic about clothes of human parts and review vocabulary about color, body, face Structures: Comparative with short adjectives Short Adj: S + to be + adj + er + than + Noun/ Pronoun III Procedures Stages Teacher’s activity Student’s activity Purpose Note Warm up Pre-teaching (the T can choose one activity from these) - Talk with the T - Have a small talk with the students about their friend/idol/anything - Give out results of homework - Check homework - Correct homework on notebook if needed Vocabulary - Listen to T - Provide some new words which are in Vocabulary part and task A, B, C,… (detailed in the lesson teaching material) - Answer the T’s questions Suggested new words: + neck (n) + chest (n) + finger (n) - Repeat the new words, note on their notebook what needed Help the student to brainstorm about the topic Provide new knowledge which is included in the lesson for the student + knee (n) + stomach (n) + arm (n) - Ask students to listen and repeat the new words - Check understanding the new words Grammar: Short Adj: S + to be + adj + er + than + Noun/ Pronoun (slide 6) - Provide usages and general structures of short adj: S + to be + adj + er + than + noun/pronoun to the S - Take some examples and check understanding Whileteaching Task A How many? - Ask the S to look at the picture (slide 4) - Let the S to read questions and underline the keywords - Instruct the S to look at the picture and answer questions on the screen - Instruct the S to look given words in left column (slide 5) - Instruct the S to the task by count given parts in the left column and write them on the lines in the right column - Do the exercises through the T’s instructions - Practice the knowledge they have learnt in “presentation” stage - Interact in English as - Interact in English with much as possible the T to improve reflection - In tasks, T can give some more example if possible - Ask the S to write answers on the screen - Check answers and give feedback Task B Longer than, shorter than?
