Lesson 1: 4, 5, I.Objectives After the lesson, students are able to: +Ask and answer questions about common health problems + Develope listening and reading skill II.Language focus III.Resources Vocabulary: review Sentence patterns: review Pictures, Puppets, Sts’ book IV.Procedure Steps and time Warm-up Sts’ and T’s activities Language focus Modes - T divides class into teams and Model: lets them play the game: Slap the Play the game W-Class Review W-class board to check vocabulary remembers Vocabulary Listen and tick Read and complete -T recalls all the new words -Sts follows T’s instructions Individual -T elicits the pictures *Answers: -T reads listening text 1.Nam/toothache -Sts listen and tick pictures 2.Peter/stomach ache -Some Ss call out the answers 3.Linda/headache -Others give comments 4.Tony/sore throat -T tells the context and completes the sentences - Give a few seconds for Ss to W-class Individual Pairs read and look at the pictures Key: - Check comprehension and elicit 1/toothache W-class the words to fill the gaps 2/fever Groups - Ask Ss the task 3/earache W-class - Check their answers 4/stomach ache - Do choral and individual 5/sore throat repetition Let’s sing Homelink -T sticks the song on the bb, sings Sing the song and guides Ss to sing W-class Individual -T tells the homelink, Ss take - Have Ss sing What’s the note matter with you? at home W-class
