UNIT 9: WHAT DID YOU SEE AT THE ZOO? Lesson (1, 2, 3) Date of planing: 26/11/2018 Date of teaching : 5A -27/11, 5B,5C 28/11/2018 I Objectives: By the end of the lesson, pupils will be able to - Ask and answer questions about What animals did in the zoo - Develop speaking and listening skills * Language contents: Vocabulary: roar, move, panda, quietly, loudly, slowly, beautifully, lion, cute, noisily, quickly 2.Structure :“What did the…do when you were there? – They…” Skills: listening, reading and writing II Teaching methods: - Communicative approach - Techniques: + Ask and answer (say individually) + Work in pairs/ groups III Teaching aids: Teacher: pupil’s and teacher’s book, picture, CD, cassette and falshcards Pupils: book, notebook, workbook IV Procedures: Teacher’s activities Students’ activities A Class organization Good morning/ afternoon! B Warm up Spend a few minutes having the class report the results of their interviews in Unit 8, Lesson 3, Activity and the chant in - Chant Activity Invite two or three groups to say the chant and actions in front of the class C New lesson Look, listen and repeat - Listen - Have the classlook at the pictures Introduce the story by pointing at each character and elicit pupils’ answers to these questions: Who are the pupils? Check their comprehension - Play the recording all the way through for - Do choral and individual repetition, pointing to the characters speaking pupils to listen and follow in their books Play it again for them to choral and individual repetition, pointing to the characters speaking Point and say - Practise asking and answering - Tell the class that they are going to questions aboutthe animals in a zoo, practise asking and answering questions using What did you see at the zoo?
