Unit 13: The 22nd Sea Games Reading Theme: The 22nd Sea Games I Objectives: Educational aim: By the end of this lesson, students will be able to: - Scan for specific information - Give Vietnamese equivalents to words and phrases - Answer the questions Knowledge: - General knowledge: Students can understand the 22nd Sea Games - Language: Giving Vietnamese equivalents to words and phrases - New words: Words related to Sea Games Skills: - Scanning for specific information - Passage comprehension II Method: Integrated, mainly communicative III Teaching aids: textbooks, some pictures of Sea Games IV Procedure: Teacher’s activities Warm-up: (5 minutes) - Lets students to listen to a song Vì giới ngày mai and tell what song it is - Asks some questions: In what event was it first sung? When and where was this event held? - Leads in new lesson: The 22 nd Sea Games Pre-reading: (5 minutes) - Asks students to work in pairs to look at picture and answer the questions Where event was it?
