REVISION AND CONSOLIDATION (1) I OBJECTIVES: Aim: By the end of the lesson, ss will be able to review the main grammar points and vocabulary from Unit 12 to Unit 14 Knowledge: + Vocabulary: vocabulary of the theme “recreation” and “the world around us” + Structures: - Passive forms in the past simple, present perfect tense - Reported speech Skills: Reading, speaking and writing II PREPARATION: Teacher: Lesson plan, text book Students: - Passive forms in the past simple, present perfect tense - Reported speech III PPROCEDURE: Check up: No New lesson: Teacher’s activities Students’ activities I Revision: Passive forms: (10’) - Give out the form - Give out examples and ask ss to give the * Passive form of past simple tense: forms S + was/were + p.p + (by + O) * Passive form of present perfect Ex: a) She painted the house last week The house was painted last week tense: S + have/has + been + p.p + (by + O) b) I have cut down the trees - Listen and write down The trees has been cut down by me - Consolidate the knowledge Reported speech: (12’) - Answer T’s questions - Elicit the way to change a direct speech into a reported speech by giving some examples Ex: a) “I’m a student.” -> He said he was a student b) “Are you twelve years old?” -> She asked me if I was twelve years old - Listen and write down - Consolidate the knowledge a Tenses Direct speech Reported speech -> Past - Present simple simple -> - Will Would - Must -> Had to - Can -> Could b Pronouns : ( depending on the subject of the main clause ) c Adverb of place and time This -> that / Now -> then Here - > there / Today -> that day Tomorrow->the next day/the following day Yesterday -> the day before Ago -> before II Practice: (20’) - Hang up the poster and guide ss to the exercise Rewrite the following sentences without changing their meaning: “I can drive car.” -> He said……………………………… “Do you work in this company?” -> She asked me ……………………… “Is your father a farmer?” -> My teacher asked me ……………… “This film is very interesting.” -> Mai said……………………………… I bought this book yesterday ->This book …………………………… They have built this bridge for ten years -> This bridge ………………………… - Call on some Ss go to the board and write the answer - Get comments and correct IV HOMEWORK: - Read the sentences and the exercise individually - Write the answer on the board - Comment and correct - Learn by heart all the structures in the lessons and give some examples with them - Revise the knowledge from unit 12 to unit 14 again ...
