REVISION (2) I OBJECTIVES: Aim: By the end of the lesson, ss will have a good chance to review the knowledgethey have learnt in the second semester Knowledge: + Grammar: Passive forms Skills: Speaking, reading and writing II PREPARATION: Teacher: Lesson plan, text book, posters Students: Revise passive forms III PPROCEDURE: Check up: No New lesson: Teacher’s activities Students’ activities I Revision: (25’) Passive form of present simple tense: - Ask Ss to give form of passive form with - Read the example and give out the present simple tense form Ex: They dry the glass pieces completely -> The glass pieces are dried completely - Consolidate the knowledge - Listen and write down * Form: S + am/is/are + p.p + (by + O) Passive form of past simple tense: - Give out an example and elicit the form of - Answer T’s questions: passive sentence with past simple tense Ex: a) She bought a book yesterday -> A book was bought by her yesterday * Form: S + was/ were + p.p + (by + O) - Ask Ss to change other sentence b) Mr.Brown took Peter and Tim to the zoo last week -> Peter and Tim were taken to the zoo by Mr.Brown last week - Correct and feedback - Write down Passive form of present perfect tense: - Elicit the way to change an active sentence - Answer T’s question into a passive sentence with present perfect tense - Give out an example - Listen and write down Ex: a) They have built this school for two years -> This school has been built (by them) for two years - Ask Ss to other example - Change into the passive: - Correct and feedback * Form: S + have/has + been + p.p + by + O Passive form of future simple tense: - Give out an example and elicit the form of passive sentence with past simple tense Ex: Tuan will receive a postcard tomorrow -> A postcard will be received by Tuan tomorrow - Consolidate the knowledge * Form: S + will be + p.p + by + O II Practice: (18’) - Hang up the poster and ask Ss to change the following sentences into passive forms: People speak English all over the world I made some cakes for my children They will start the project next month Tom has broken that vase Wash the vegetable carefully She wrote two books last year - Call on some Ss go to the board and write the answer - Give correct answer Ex: b) She has just painted her room -> Her room has just been painted - Write down - Give out the form - Listen and write down - Work individually to the exercise - Go to the board to write the answer - Check the answer with teacher IV HOMEWORK: - Learn by heart all grammar points of the lesson - Revise reported speech to prepare for next lesson ... postcard will be received by Tuan tomorrow - Consolidate the knowledge * Form: S + will be + p.p + by + O II Practice: ( 18? ??) - Hang up the poster and ask Ss to change the following sentences into...
