POSITION: IT Support Analyst DATE: July 29, 2020 Job Type: Full Time, 40.00 Hours Schedule: Monday- Friday, 8:30 AM- 5:00 PM Position Type: Management Position Summary: The IT Support Analyst will work under the direction of the Accounting and Operations Managers and collaborate with external IT personnel The IT Support Analyst will be responsible for work with MGED’s IT consultant to maintain the network at the Gas, Electric and Administrative Offices IT Support Analyst is responsible for working with internal and external professionals on the strategic design and implementation of inhouse information security systems and networked software architectures that support core organizational functions, and assure their high availability and integrity Using a variety of tools and experience, the IT Support Analyst may develop skills to troubleshoot and diagnose issues related to hardware or software performance They are also responsible for the maintenance, upkeep, optimization, and research of IT related software and equipment, communications and security coordination IT Support Analyst Duties: • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • Conduct investigations on MGED’s technology system and platforms to support MGED at the strategic and tactical (new technology implementation, upgrades, and day-to-day oversight & maintenance) level Explore and integrate new cyber security tools, processes, capabilities and architecture Maintain and reinforce security information and event monitoring systems Work with internal and external experts to support MGED’s facility security, and facilitate employee access under security protocols Monitor, detect and diagnose security incidents, intrusions and vulnerability issues Provide input on security awareness training and education programs Research and recommend hardware and software purchases to management Maintain complete hardware and software inventory Assist with budget development for technology related items including hardware and software purchases, upgrades and support Responsible for security of data, network access, backup systems and contingency plans Troubleshoot hardware and software problems; when applicable, serves as a contact person with external vendor to ensure the problem is fixed satisfactorily Coordinate MGED’s connectivity needs with vendors and Town of Middleborough Provide support for mobile phones and all other devices used for work purposes by MGED staff May perform updates or facilitate repairs and testing of mobile equipment Oversee and setup of new end-user hardware (computers, phones, laptops, etc.) Ensure solutions to issues are properly tracked and documented Coordinate records of tech and communications supplies and tracks inventory Manage telecommunications for all locations Monitor incident trends and anticipate potential problems for proactive resolution All other duties assigned • Qualifications: • • • • • • • • • • Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s degree (preferred) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field 5+ Years of related experience Excellent analytical and communication skills Proficient knowledge of server based hardware, software, operating systems and peripheral equipment Proficient knowledge of cybersecurity principles and practices Proficient knowledge of network/ storage hardware, technologies and configurations Strong documentation skills and attention to detail Adaptability to change priorities, as needed Experience in troubleshooting cybersecurity incidents Strong experience in designing and deploying security focused products All interested applicants must apply in writing to Laura Robbins, Human Resources Supervisor, 32 South Main Street, Middleborough, Massachusetts 02346 or HR@mged.com Applications are available at ww.mged.com/employment MGED is an Equal Opportunity Employer ... priorities, as needed Experience in troubleshooting cybersecurity incidents Strong experience in designing and deploying security focused products All interested applicants must apply in writing... cybersecurity principles and practices Proficient knowledge of network/ storage hardware, technologies and configurations Strong documentation skills and attention to detail Adaptability to change... 02346 or HR@mged.com Applications are available at ww.mged.com/employment MGED is an Equal Opportunity Employer
