countries, how it first started, and if it is still happening right now Examples of bribery are provided with overview information which is an interesting part They have comprehensive understanding about the topic, relevant example and extension to fully cover the case study Presentation slides format are simple, however, we think that there should be more content on the slide In contrast, the group uses many images to describe the content presented quite vividly On the other hand, speakers still have to use assistive devices during the presentation Moreover, it prevents the presentation from achieving as much interaction with the audience as it really needs Feedback on the debate team: The questions posed in the article also reflect many issues related to corruption, which is extremely painful and unresolved in the society However, the debate group still made many mistakes in giving opinions when they did not really follow the content of the presentation group and give really appropriate answers to the questions Otherwise, the discussion group expanded the topic by posing practical questions, but the presenting group failed to adequately address the concerns stated Additionally, they simply offer general advice without providing any details , such as that the government should take steps to avoid bribery rather than going straight to the issues of penalties because it wouldn’t reflect the truth Group is right with the ideas but they are incapable of quickly responding when the debaters inquire about a subject that is not outside their ability to comprehend Things we learn about the presentation: On the basis of case from chapter 3, we can recognize that bribery is illegal, many countries still it for their own benefits Although many measures and judgments are in place to expose and deter the forces, the current status of bribery and corruption still exists so that it can be thoroughly resolved Only some of the cases have been brought to light, there still are hundreds of cases happening everyday under the OECD nose As the text and the group mention, Greece is the representative case out of all, they pour massive amounts of money only to bribery alone, as well as other big companies like Samsung, Alcatel-Lucent Globally, laws are imposed to prevent bribery but it doesn’t help much as these actions are still constantly happening in every country Therefore, we need to clearly define the negative effects of bribery that have a detrimental influence on the market economy and result in issues with inflation or unemployment Additionally, in order to avoid corruption, the government must implement policies that are not just deterrents but also very tough and forceful in order to prevent the growth of corrupt practices among people in positions of authority or high status It will lead to the emergence of a democratic, just, and free society in one nation Case -Chapter Feedback on the presentation: In the presentation, group showed accurate problems that the company of analytics and business intelligence software solutions in the US are facing when they started to expand the marketplace and received high revenue from international markets After understanding carefully about these difficulties, the manager needs to come up with a strategy to face challenges revolving around his plan Thankfully, group helps us to know the advantages and disadvantages of the solution that the executive should spend time in international offices Additionally, they also pointed out how the company can prepare for the cultural differences they will encounter Not only the content of case chapter was explained clearly but also the way they contacted the lecture was flexible, and did not keep their eyes glued to smartphones to read transcripts There are many things that make group different from the rest and attract audiences to listen to their presentation Firstly, presenting information clearly and effectively is a key skill in getting team messages across.Secondly, many practical , interesting examples video which is easy to approach the core values of case , helps other groups gain the knowledge in the best way Finally, they prepared slides carefully, many videos to illustrate problems (Coca-cola beverages) Nevertheless, in slides and 3, the present group clearly introduced the advantages and disadvantages but did not provide enough of those so that the other debate teams could ask more questions related to them On top of that, despite the fact that the coca-cola video was a really informative and outstanding example for the presentation, the video was longer than needed Therefore, it consumed the amount of time that was supposed to be used for other activities Our feedback on the debate team: The debate team had some good questions that indicated directly the issues of the case problems An example was “ At the starting point, when a company wants to staff an office in another country, one of the challenges it will face is discrimination How can it overcome this difficulty at the beginning to operate and maintain the business?” However, the presenters did not complete their answers when debating the above question To be more specific, they just provided a few general solutions like “ learning about the cultures, marketplaces , ” without enough satisfactory and specific actions When debating, sometimes group could not stand solidly with their mentioned ideas and they were a little bit confused to deal with the questions Things we have learned: After case of chapter was presented and debated, we understood the importance of managing culture and people when they expand market areas Thanks to knowledge about the vision, solution, strategy of the executive about the problems , the way to encounter international markets and manage their staff in different countries effectively It is a worthy lesson about how to identify challenges in the culturally diverse workplace, form a global mindset, adapt to a new culture, and organize a huge multinational company with connecting relationships between staff and clients Moreover, the case also educated us how to put ourselves in others' shoes In other words, we learnt from CEO Christian Chabot that he spent time away from home to understand that how disconnected the staffs may feel when working for an international company and the fact that he spent a year away from the home office emphasized his belief that locations beyond Seattle ( headquarters) are important for the company’s success as well Finally, we can improve our style of presentation through creative, energetic presentations which are close to our daily life, easy to reach and share team opinions with audiences ... unresolved in the society However, the debate group still made many mistakes in giving opinions when they did not really follow the content of the presentation group and give really appropriate answers... Otherwise, the discussion group expanded the topic by posing practical questions, but the presenting group failed to adequately address the concerns stated Additionally, they simply offer general advice... bribery rather than going straight to the issues of penalties because it wouldn’t reflect the truth Group is right with the ideas but they are incapable of quickly responding when the debaters inquire
