UNIT 11: TRAVELLING IN THE FUTURE Lesson 1: Getting started – I hope we will have a hyperloop soon! I OBJECTIVES: By the end of this lesson, students will be able to gain: Knowledge: * Vocab: to talk about future means of transport - An overview about the topic TRAVELLING IN THE FUTURE Competences: - Develop communication skills and creativity - Be collaborative and supportive in pair work and team work - Actively join in class activities Qualities: - Develop self-study skills II TEACHING AIDS Teacher: Text books, pictures, planning, … - Grade textbook, Unit 11, getting started - Smart TV/Pictures, maps and CD player - sachmem.vn Students: Text books, notebooks, posters, … III PROCEDURES: 1.Warm-up (5’) * Aim: - activate students’ knowledge on the topic of the unit - set the context for the listening and reading part * Content: Game: Chatting (about transports) * Products: Ss ask and answer about transport Teacher’s and Ss’activities Content - T give some pictures ask Ss look at the picture ask and answer - Teacher asks Ss answer EX: T: + How you people travel every day? + What you think about the traffic in the picture? + How about traffic in the future? - exercise true or false - Find the words and phrases that describe the means of transport in the conversation and write them in the correct columns * Products: Students workinpairs and read the conversation, understand and somes exercises Teacher’s and Content Ss’activities Task 1: (20’) T-Ss Task 1: TASK 1: Listen and read What are - Teacher asks students to Ann and Minh talking about?
