Week Period FUN TIME I Objectives: * By the end of the lesson, students will be able to: - identify some learnt words and say them with correct pronunciation - imitate the upper case and lower case B/b and C/c, using body positions - read the learnt words (book, cup, ball, cat) - make a short exchange, using the structures “Hi, I’m _.” and “I have a _.” - Ss can develop some following competences + Communicative and collaborative competence:act 1,3,4 + Problem-solving competence: act 1,3 + Self-studying and self-control competence: act 2, 3,4 + Problem-solving and creative competence: act *Language focus: - Sound: B/C - Vocabulary: bike, book, ball, car, cat, cup, cake - Differentiated teaching: + Incomplete ss: can pronounce the name of the letter B/C in the words bike, book, ball, car, cat, cup, cake + Well-completed ss: can pronounce the name of the letter B/C in the words bike, book, ball, car, cat, cup, cake while listening II Materials: -Teacher’s: books, pictures, flashcards,CD -Students’: books, crayons III Method: -Communicative Language Teaching -Total Physical Response -Natural Approach -3Ps III Teaching activities: Activity 1: Warm up -Let Ss play the game “Simon says” using the letters they have learnt Activity 2: -Content Look and circle Then say - Procedure: +Elicit the words indicated by the pictures and describe it +Draw Ss’attention to the pictures Elicit the words indicated by the picture Have them circle the correct words Go around the class to offer help, if necessary + Show the picture and elicit the answer +Tell Ss to point to the picture the word book Ask them to listen and repeat the word + Repeat the same procedure with car, cat, ball, bike, cup Give further support to those Ss who find it difficult to the task + Correct pronunciation, if necessary Activity 3: -Content 3: Read and tick Then colour and say - Procedure: + Have Ss point to each picture and say the words and ask them to tick the correct picture + Have Ss colour the correct picture, then have them say the words a book + Follow the same procedure with Questions 2, and Give further support to those pupils who find it difficult to the task + Get Ss to check their answers in pairs Then ask some pairs to give their answers Give comments and confirm the correct answers + Call on some Ss to read the words in front of the class +Aask Ss to work in pairs and practise writing the words in two minutes Then show picture cards and ask some Ss to go to the board and write the words + Invite some pairs to point to the picture and say the questions and the answers in front of the class Activity 4: -Content 4: Let’s play - Procedure: + Divide class into two groups + Ask Ss of two groups play game + Congratulate the winner  Consolidation: - Content: Review the letter P/K and words (pasta, popcorn,pizza, kite,bike and kitten) - Procedure: + Ask Ss to answer the following questions: What have you learnt from the lesson today? What are the core values of the lesson?
