estuary extended from the south-west of Cat Ba island to the north-east of Do Son peninsula with tidal domination and the final region is the sedimentary environment of the embayment tidal flats extended from Mong Cai area to Cat Ba island This region is strongly effected by tide and not significantly affected by rivers The characteristics of sedimentary environment of tidal flats are reflected by the distribution of parameters: coarse sand, medium sand, fine sand, coarse aleurites, finealeuritic mud and aleuritic-pelitic mud The sedimentary factors, such as wet is in the range from 13.61 to 44.37 %; porosity is in the range from 0.41 to 0.67; pH in the range from 6.90 to 8.28; Eh in the range from (-102.60) to (-19.70) mV; Nlolalin the range from 283.39 to 1449.10 mg/kgfor the case of dry weigh; Plotalin the range from 95.81 to 646.60 mg/kg dry weigh; Corganic in the range from 24.23 to 1984.32 mg/kgfor the case of dry weigh and S/Olalin the range from 29.54 to 7096.15 mg/kgfor the case of dry weigh The high concentration of sulfur in tidal sediments at Bach Dang estuary and the embayment environment from Mong Cai area to Cat Ba should be considered in socialeconomy
