4.6. Hạn chế của bài nghiên cứu và hướng nghiên cứu tiếp theo
Bộ dữ liệu cần được mở rộng hơn để gia tăng tính vững chắc của các kết quả nghiên cứu.
Trong cách thức tìm ngưỡng nợ công, cần phải xây dựng phương pháp mới nhằm củng cố cho kết luận về mối quan hệ phi tuyến giữa nợ công và tăng trưởng kinh tế. Bổ sung thêm các biến kiểm sốt khác đóng vai trị là kênh truyền dẫn tác động của nợ công lên tăng trưởng kinh tế như là tiết kiệm và đầu tư của khu vực tư nhân và khu vực công, tỷ giá hối đoái, lãi suất danh nghĩa và lãi suất thực trong dài hạn, và năng suất các nhân tố tổng hợp TFP.
