"Tương tác chiến lược" đề cập đến việc sử dụng kết hợp chiến lược ngôn ngữ/xã hội/giải quyết vấn đề/vận trù học như công cụ hỗ trợ ngôn ngữ để thúc đẩy nhu cầu sử dụng ngôn ngữ và đạt được mục tiêu nhiệm vụ. Phương pháp giảng dạy dựa trên nhiệm vụ (TBLT) là phương pháp tập trung vào việc thực hiện các nhiệm vụ để đạt được mục đích giao tiếp cụ thể. Khi kết hợp tương tác chiến lược với mô hình TBLT, giáo viên có thể tạo ra các lớp học tương tác và hấp dẫn hơn, đồng thời khuyến khích tất cả học sinh tham gia và vượt qua các thử thách ngôn ngữ.
