Nowadays, schools in various parts of the world report that the number of students who have behavioral problems tends to increase Especially, in Vietnam, violent student behavior has been a major cause of concern for the past few years In my opinion, there are three main reasons why children have become more aggressive than they were in the past, which are violent media, poor parental guidance and competitive school environment First, violent media are more popular and easier to access nowadays Violent scenarios appear on almost every media platform, such as television programs, computer games, social network, etc Therefore, children are likely to imitate in real life by being more aggressive and using more violence After all, children are easily affected by external parties Second, children’s inappropriate behaviors might be the result of bad parenting For instance, parents might spend more time at work than at home and as a result, children who lack parental guidance are not aware of how they are supposed to behave This, in turn, is likely to cause them to have behavioral problems, including being aggressive and violent Third, another factor that influences student’s behaviors is the environment at school Modern education is based on competition and comparison For example, schools conduct monthly examinations to assess the student's progress and due to this they are subjected to undue stress that leads to acts of violence being committed at school In conclusion, aggressive student behavior has been a major source of concern in Vietnam for the past few years In my view, violent media, poor parental guidance, and a competitive school atmosphere are the three primary reasons why children have become more aggressive than before We need to take action about this issue because it is our responsibility to guide children in the right direction Nelson Mandela says, “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.” Has Vietnam used this weapon effectively to change itself? There is a famous saying by Nelson Mandela: “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.” Moreover, I believe that education is also a robust weapon for a country to change itself In my opinion, Vietnam has utilized this weapon effectively for three reasons: Vietnam has reduced poverty, achieved educational awards and built a better society by enhancing the country’s education level First, Vietnam has reduced poverty and improve the country’s economy by education In the past, poverty and illiteracy were the main problems of the country due to the pressure of wars However, acknowledging the essence of education, the government still encouraged people to learn As a result, as the education level increased gradually, the economy also developed and people were capable of improving their life Second, Vietnam has gained numerous educational achievements in recent decades The number of talented scientists and mathematicians has been increasingly growing, and the Vietnamese have gained many international prizes, which they can surely take pride in For example, from 2016-2019, Vietnam picked up 45 gold medals, 60 silver medals, 31 bronze medals, and six certificates at international and regional education Olympiads This has proven that the education system in our homeland is on the right track Third, Vietnam has also built a more wholesome community by educating people Not only educating means giving people knowledge but it is also teaching people to think and behave properly Therefore, through education, people’s awareness is raised This helps reduce social crime and encourages people to contribute to the society In conclusion, “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world”, and it is also an effective weapon for a country transformation In my opinion, Vietnam has efficiently used this weapon for three reasons: Vietnam has decreased poverty, gained educational prizes, and created a better society by raising the country's educational level Vietnam has a good variety of produce but imported produce is increasing while exports and domestic consumption are low As consumers, what can we to support Vietnamese farmers? Vietnam offers a diverse range of products, but while imports are on the rise, exports and domestic consumption remain low This is a concerning problem for Vietnamese economy as well as the local farmers In my opinion, as consumers, there are three things we can to give Vietnamese farmers a hand, which are supporting the government’s strategies, choosing Vietnamese brands and spreading our words First, we need to support the government’s strategies on improving domestic consumption For example, the government has launched a campaign called “Vietnamese people use Vietnamese products” to encourage Vietnamese people to buy local goods This is a meaningful campaign that has shown its effectiveness in raising domestic consumption in recent years As consumers, we should support campaigns like this and buy goods produced by Vietnamese farmers Second, we should choose Vietnamese brands instead of foreign ones This means not just buying one or two Vietnamese products, but focus on the brands For instance, instead of buying only milk from Vinamilk, we should also pay attention to its other products such as yogurt, ice cream, cheese and so on I believe this is the further step to help increase domestic consumption and help Vietnamese farmers sell more products Third, we should spread our words to promote Vietnamese products We can share our reviews and good experiences about local products with other people to break their preconception and underestimation of the quality of domestic goods On top of that, we can also share the stories of Vietnamese farmers, for example, how hard they have tried and the difficulties they have faced This is a way for us to contribute to raise the awareness of Vietnamese consumers about the situation and how they can their bit to support Vietnamese farmers In conclusion, there are three ways for us to support Vietnamese farmers, which are supporting the government’s strategies, choosing Vietnamese brands and spreading our words I believe each Vietnamese consumer should take action to help increase domestic consumption, since it not only helps farmers improve their lives but also contributes to impulse the sustainable development of Vietnam’s economy Topic “Friendship is like money, easier made than kept.” – Samuel Butler Do you agree or disagree?
