I CÂU HỎI ĐUÔI Lưu ý - Đổi thể từ khẳng định sang phủ định ngược lại - Các từ đặt câu hỏi đuôi không thêm “not”: no, not, never, hardly, rarely, seldom, scarcely,… - “Not” viết tắt Cấu trúc câu hỏi đuôi tiếng Anh a Đối với động từ thường (ordinary verbs) + Hiện đơn với TO BE: - He is handsome, is he? = Anh đẹp trai, không? - You are worry, aren’t you? = Bạn lo lắng, phải không? + Hiện đơn động từ thường: mượn trợ động từ DO DOES tùy theo chủ ngữ - They like me, don’t they? - She loves you, doesn’t she? + Thì khứ đơn với động từ thường: mượn trợ động từ DID, khứ đơn với TO BE: WAS WERE: - He didn’t come here, did he? - He was friendly, wasn’t he? + Thì hồn thành hồn thành tiếp diễn: mượn trợ động từ HAVE HAS - They have left, haven’t they? - The rain has stopped, hasn’t they? + Thì q khứ hồn thành q khứ hoàn thành tiếp diễn: mượn trợ động từ HAD: - He hadn’t met you before, had he ? + Thì tương lai đơn - It will rain, won’t it? + Hãy ý tới ý nghĩa “yes no” câu trả lời câu hỏi phủ định: - You’re not going out today, are you? (Hôm bạn không chơi phải không?) - (=Yes, I am going out) Có (= Có, tơi có chơi) - (=No, I am not going out) Không (= Không, không chơi) b Cấu trúc câu hỏi đuôi dạng đặc biệt tiếng Anh * Câu giới thiệu dùng “I am”, câu hỏi đuôi “aren’t I” Ex: I am a student, aren’t I? * Câu giới thiệu dùng Let’s, câu hỏi đuôi “Shall we” Ex: Let’s go for a picnic, shall we? * Chủ ngữ đại từ bất định “Everyone, someone, anyone, no one, nobody…” câu hỏi đuôi “they” Ex: Somebody wanted a drink, didn’t they? * Chủ ngữ “nothing, everything, something, this, that…” câu hỏi dùng “it” Và Nothing chủ ngữ có nghĩa mệnh đề giới thiệu dạng phủ định, câu hỏi đuôi dạng khẳng định Ex: Nothing can happen, can it? * Câu đầu có It seems that + mệnh đề, lấy mệnh đề làm câu hỏi đuôi Ex: It seems that you are right, aren’t you ? * Câu cảm thán, lấy danh từ câu đổi thành đại từ, [ ] dùng is, am, are Ex: How intelligent you are, aren’t you? Ex: What a stupid boy, isn’t he? * Sau câu mệnh lệnh cách (Do…/ Don’t v.v… ), câu hỏi đuôi thường … will you?: Ex: Open the door, will you? Ex: Don’t be late, will you? * Câu đầu I WISH, dùng MAY câu hỏi đuôi Ex: I wish to study English, may I ? * Chủ từ ONE, dùng you one câu hỏi đuôi Ex: One can be one’s master, can’t you/ one? * Chủ từ THERE, dùng there câu hỏi đuôi Ex: There are five peoples in your family, aren’t there? * Had better thường viết ngắn gọn thành 'd better nên mượn trợ động từ Had Ex: He'd better apologize, hadn't he? * Would rather thường viết gọn 'd rather nên mượn trợ động từ Would Ex: She'd rather go to the doctor, wouldn'd she *USED TO: (diễn tả thói quen, hành động thường lập lập lại khứ) nên dùng “DID” để đặt câu hỏi đuôi Ex: She used to live here, didn’t she? * Câu đầu có MUST, must có nhiều cách dùng tùy theo cách dùng mà có câu hỏi khác Must cần thiết: => dùng needn’t Ex: They must study hard, needn’t they? Must cấm đoán: => dùng must Ex: You mustn’t come late, must you ? Must dự đoán tại: => dựa vào động từ theo sau must Ex: He must be a very intelligent student, isn’t he? (Anh ta học sinh thông minh, phải không ?) Must dự đốn q khứ (trong cơng thức must +have+ p.p) : => dùng have/ has Ex: You must have stolen my bike, haven’t you? (Anh/chị lấy cắp xe tôi, phải không?) * Chủ từ mệnh đề danh từ: Dùng “it” câu hỏi đuôi Ex: What you have said is wrong, isn’t it? Ex: Why he killed himself seems a secret, doesn’t it?
