Trang 4Mid-Autumn Festival is one of the most popular festivals and is a traditional festival for Vietnamese children. It is celebrated on 15th of August the Lunar Month which is a brightest and roundest moon night. It
is held for children in all village in Viet Nam. Mid- Autumn Festival originates from the rice civilization of the Red River Delta, over 4000 years ago to thank the rice God for the summer harvest and pray for better next harvest. But nowadays, Mid- Autumn festival is an opportunity for families gather and share everything
Trang 5On this day, adults and parents prepare a variety of food: moon cakes , candies , ,biscuits , jellies , grapefruit,…for children A lot of families eat their dinner outside in the open air and they eats moon cakes after dinner.
