S ONEPLEX ® HDSL R EMOTE M ODULE The Soneplex HDSL Remote (HLXR) module operates with ADC's Soneplex HDSL Central Office module to provide full duplex DS1 transport over two unconditioned, non-loaded copper loops. This 200 mechanics HLXR module is compatible with a variety of indoor and outdoor enclosures, including a network interface device. It supports span powered HDSL service up to 12,000 feet. One HDSL repeater extends the HDSL distance up to 24,000 feet, or 36,000 feet with two repeaters. Three models are available, each occupying a single slot in either a 200 or 400 style enclo- sure. ADC’s Soneplex system is the lowest total cost solution for carriers to grow their T1-based business services. Focused on providing flexible, end-to-end solutions, the Soneplex system saves carriers money on T1-based services over fiber or copper, using HDSL, HDSL2, traditional T1 repeater or optical DS2 technology, in a single platform. DS1 line performance is sent to the HLXC via the HDSL embedded operations channel for communication to an operation support system (OSS) for enhanced network management and system control. The HLXR craft interface allows local performance visibility or it can be obtained from the Main Processor Unit at the central office.
