Lesson1: Part 1,2 (page 6) I Objectives Sts will able to greet someone formally II Language focus * Vocabulary: Morning, afternoon, evening *Model sentence: Good morning, Miss Hien III Resourses Lesson plan, pictures, text book, recording IV Procedures Warm up: Teacher and sts introduce themselves New lesson: Teacher's activities Look, listen and repeat - T introduces the newwords: +Morning: buổi sáng +Afternoon: buổi chiều + evening: buổi tối -T reads new words first and asks Ss to listen carefully Students's activities - Listen carefully - repeat following teacher (2) Teacher's activities - T reads the new words again and asks Ss to repeat - T calls Ss to read -T shows the pictures at book to identify the teacher(Miss Hien) and pupils -T tell sts that they are going to look at the dialogue in their sts’s book, listen to the recording and repeat the dialogue between Miss Hien and the PPs - T plays the recording through for sts to listen to the dialogue Then T plays the recording again, pausing after each line for sts to repeat -T divides the class into two groups.Ask one group to repeat Miss Hien’s part and the other the sts’part -T asks Ss role play -T gives the model sentence: Good morning,Miss Hien - T asks the whole class to read the model sentence a few times -T asks sts to write down in their notebook, Look and say -T asks sts look at picture a, b, c and d to identify the characters in the pictures and what part of the day it is in each P -T does the task with one student as an example (eg.Teacher:Good morning, Nam.Nam: Good morning,Miss Lieu) -T asks sts work in pairs -T calls some pairs to demonstrade the task in front of class - T checks sts’comprehension of the language Homework - Learn by heart the new words Students's activities - Repeat - Read individual - Look -listen carefully -Listen and repeat in chorus -Read in groups -role play -read aloud -write -Answer: P a: Mr Loc and Nga; P b:Mr Green and Mrs Brown;P c:Mr Brown and Mrs Green and P d: Linda and Mrs Lan) -Listen -Work in pairs -Some pairs to demonstrade -Chorus (3) - Prepare new lesson Preparing date: 23/08/2012 Teaching date: 34/08/2012 WEEK 1: Period 3: Unit1 : Goodmorning.How are you?
