LESSON 1: THE WEATHER AND SEASONS (A1, 2)

Aims: To give the students words about seasons and weather.

Objectives: By the end of the lesson the students will be able to know how to ask and answer about the weather

Skills: Speaking, listening, reading, writing Teaching aids: book, poster.

Grammar: What is the weather like in the spring? – It’s warm in the spring.Vocabulary: spring, summer, fall, winter, warm, cool, weather

4’ I. Pictures of different seasonsWARMER: Guessing Pictures - Controls the game - Play game 20’ II. PRE-SPEAKING:

1. Pre-teach vocabulary : - Spring [spriη](n): mùa xuân - Summer ['sʌmə](n): mùa hè - Fall [fɔ:l](n): mùa thu

- Winter ['wintə](n): mùa đông - Warm [wɔ:m] (adj): ấm áp - Cool [ku:l] (adj): mát meû

- The weather [ 'weə](n): thời tiết  Rub out the remember: 2. Set the scene :

We are going to talk about the weather in specific season

3. Gap-fill:

Listen to the tape or teacher and fill in the gaps with suitable words
