1 Warm - up (5’) - Ask Ss to play game: Jumble words

- Divide the class into teams Ss from teams go to the board and write the correct words The team which writes more correct words first wins the game

- Play game - Work in group

2 Exercises (35’) a Exercise 1: (10’)

- Revision of modal verbs: may and might

 Form: May / Might + infinitive ( without TO)  Use:

o May / Might is used to talk about present or future possibility

o Might is normally a little less sure than May - Have Ss look at the pictures on page 88 – 89 to the exercise

- Get Ss to work in pairs They have to practice asking and answering

- Call some pairs to get feedback b Exercise 2: (10’)

 Revision of conditional sentences type

 Form:

o If clause: simple present tense

o Main clause: simple future

 Use: when there is possibility that the situation in the If – clause will happen in the future or is true in the present

- Write the form and use into their notebook

- Work in individually

- Look at the pictures and work - Work in pair

- Ask and answer - Correct

- Ask Ss to exercise on page 90

- Ask Ss to use the verbs in the box to complete the sentences, using conditional type

- Call on some Ss to read their sentences before the class to get feedback and correct

 Conditional sentences type

- Set the scene: Ba is not rich so he can’t travel around the world

Ex: If Ba …were…….rich, he …would travel….around…the world…

 Form:

o Main clause: would / could / might + verb o If clause: past simple tense / past subjunctive  Use: We use this structure to talk about

unreal or unlikely present or future situation ( to be = were)

- Ask Ss to language focus - Give an example first (3a) - Give feedback

c Exercise 3: (15’)

- Give the topic and ask Ss to discuss the question:

 What would you if you met an alien from outer space?

Eg: If I met an alien from outer space, I would invite him to my home and talk to her

- Have each Ss to share with their partners

- Call on some Ss to call out their sentences before class - Give feedback and correct

- Work in pairs to the exercises

- Correct

- Listen and write into their notebook

- Work in pairs to the exercises - Correct

- Work in group to discuss

- Work in pair to ask and answer the question

- Correct

3 Homework (5’)

- Get Ss to write some more sentences they get from friends in class
