striped catfish ponds to raise Chlorella sp and rotifers Brachionus sp biomass was implemented from June to August 2014 at the experimental area of An Giang University The experiment was arranged in a completely randomized design on species with treatments and replications for each species in 10 days Treatments were 100% waste water from striped catfish pond and algae density were 100,000 individual/mL, 200,000 individual/mL, 300,000 individual/mL and 400,000 individual/mL; or rotifer density were 30 individual/mL, 50 individual/mL, 75 individual/mL and 100 individual/mL The density of algae, rotifers as well as environmental factors as pH, temperature was monitored daily, while other factors such as NH4+, NO3-, PO43-, TSS, COD, BOD was measured days/times The results showed that the temperature and pH were appropriate for the growth of Chlorella sp and Brachionus sp The other environmental factors were markedly improved after the experiment; these environmental factors were adapted standard column A2 or B1 according to QCVN in algae experiment However, in rotifers experimental was only NO3- factor decreased 44.62% (column A1), COD decreased 67.91% (column A2), BOD dropped 72.98% (column A2), TSS dropped 93.62% (column B1) while the other factors such as NH4+ and PO43- were unqualified and need to more treat Algae density peaked on day in treatment NT4 was 5,811,111 individual/mL with the ability to reduce the level of nutrients concentrate NH4+, NO3- and PO43in wastewater were 88.19%, 91.16% and 67.72%, respectively Rotifer populations also peaked on day was 833,330 individual/L in treatment NT7 and the highest growth rate was 0.9%/day in treatment NT8 Keywords: Brachionus sp., striped catfish, Chlorella sp., Rotifers, waste water, algae biomass
