Lesson ( part ) I.Aims.

1/Knowledge.

- By the end of the lesson , students will be able to recognize and pronounce the letter

Dd and its sound correctly

- Understand, recognize and say the three Dd words - Write the letter Dd

Vocabulary: dog,dragon,drum Sight words: , is, it, a

2 Skill: Listening, writing, speaking and reading. 3 Attitude.

- Educate Ss to be friendly with friends - Students love animals with the letter d - S; Le Ngoc Linh know the letter D II.Teaching aids:

T: teachers’ book, CD, phonics cards, paper including the lyrics of the chant

Ss: Student’s book, colour Activity book

2.Warm up ( 5’)

- Rewrite and read aloud the letter, sound and the words: cat,clock,carrot,car 3 New lesson ( 30’ )

* Activity ( 15’)

-Introduction of letter d, Its sound and how to pronounce the words beginning with Dd.

- Use a card with letter Dd or write on the board the letter Dd to introduce to the students the new lesson

- Ss: listen, point and repeat

1 Listen , point and repeat .Colour.

- Ss: work individually and pái

- Ask students how to pronouce the letter name and the letter sound by saying “ This is the letter Dd/ di:/ The letter D makes the / d / sound

-Repeat several times and check student’s pronunciation(letter Dd / d: / and its sound /

d /

- Ss: look at the letter point lesten and repeat

- Ss: work individually and groups -Use gestures (hand actions ) to help students to understand the meanings of the three words

-Check student’s understanding T says the words,all ss actions and vice versa

-Call some Ss to say the words out loud and correct their mistakes

* S: Le Ngoc Linh listen and point letter D

*Activity : Where’s the letter? (12’)

- T hangs out the photo of some story book and Ss search for and circle the letter of d. - T gives time for Ss and let’s them individual

- Ss:Circle the letter of d

- Ss: work individually

T monitors and pride the winner who has circle the most

* Activity Production:

- Show the letter Dd again, and ask Ss to write the Dd in air with their fingers -Ss; Remember the cards

- Ss:Write letter in Dd in the air - Ss: work individually

- Ask ss to write down the words dog

,dragon,drum into their notebook

* S: Le Ngoc Linh listen letter D 4 Consolidation: (3’)

- T asks whole class to read the letter aloud Do the excersice 1,2,3

- Ask ss to look at the pairs of picture on the side and colour the correct picture

- T goes round the classroom ,asking Ss to name the items they are colouring

* S: Le Ngoc Linh listen and point letter D *Activitiy :Draw it (5’)

- Divide Ss into teams

- T reads aloud the name of words, Ss quickly draw it

- Ss: listen and draw - Ss: work individually

- Which team has the most point will be winner Continue the game as many times as necessary.

Activity (10’)

-Put up the lyris of the chant on the board - Without music , use the phonics card and step ss to sing the chant with dog. Do the same with drum and dragon.

- Ss: look at the chant listen and repeat - SS: work individually

- With music ,the whole class sing the whole chant Do the chant again using gestures for each word

- Give feedback

-Ask Ss to write the chant in to note book - look at the book and chant

- Ss: work in groups

-Ask Ss to excersise in the work book

4.Consolidation:(3’)

- T asks whole class to read the chant aloud
