UNIT 10: RECYCLING LESSON 4: WRITE I OBJECTIVES:

1 Aims: - At the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to: use “ first/next/ ” and Imparatives to write instructuions on how to prepare the dry tea leaves to keep mosquitoes away

2 Knowlege:

* Vocabulary: (to) soak, (to) wrap, (to) scatter, mesh, mixture, (to) mash 3 Skills: Reading and Writing.

II PREPARATION:

1 Teacher: Lesson plan, posters. 2 Students:

+ Vocabulary: (to) soak, (to) wrap, (to) scatter, mesh, mixture, (to) mash III PROCEDURES:

1 Check-up: (4’) Asks two Ss to change the following sentences into passsive

a I cut the bottles into small pieces. b We can play the guitar.

2 New lesson:

*) Lead-in: (1’) Question:

I PRE-WRITING: Vocabulary (8’)

*) Logical order:

First,/second,/next,/then./ Finally *) Imparatives:

Ex: First, take the used tea from the tea pot.

- Elicits the language from Ss and helps them know more about the logical order and inparatives

II WHILE-WRITING:

Make the instructions to prepare the tea leaves (Part 2-P.94) (10’)

- Checks the meaning of the words in the box

- Asks Ss to write instructions, basing on the pictures and the cues

- Goes round to help Ss

- Hands out the cellophanes and asks them write their instructions on it

III POST-WRITING: (7’) Exhibition - Collects Ss/ drafts and put them on the overhead

- Asks the whole to correct the result and helps them to complete the instructions

- Speak out their answers and check it with teacher

- Base on the text and give the logical order and imparatives

- Speak out the meaning individually - Write the text individually, using the cues at P.94

- Share their result in groups and then choose the best one to complete on the cellophanes

- Give out their writings

- Check it with T and compare their paragraghs

*Consolidation: (2’)

- Uses Exhibition to revise the way to write the instructions

IV HOMEWORK: (2’)

- Asks Ss to complete their paragragh at home - Asks Ss to prepare: Language Focus - P.95-97 + Simple present and simple future in passive

+ Adjectives followed by an infinitive and a noun clause
