I Objectives:

: Students could talk about the advantages and disadvantages of using alternative sources of energy in the future

- New words: words related to the topic

IV Procedure:

Warm-up: (5 minutes)

- Ask students to group work guessing the name of energies by watching pictures and completing the sentences below

1 -is our major source of energy - create electricity by building dam 3. -turns wind mills and moves sail boats -can provide enough electricity for the world’s need for hundreds of year, but can be dangerous

5 -comes from deep inside the earth -energy created by Solar panels - Today, we learn Unit 11, partB - speaking Vocabulary: (5 minutes)

- Provides the meaning of some new words and asks Ss to copy and repeat

Pre-speaking : (8 minutes) Task 1

- Ask students to read about the advantages and disadvantages of using alternative sources of energy

- Work in group Fossil fuel Water power Wind energy Nuclear power Geothermal heat Solar

- Copy new words and repeat

- Ask students to prepare Part C- Listening

-Do the task in pairs

A: I think/ believe that Solar energy can be an alternative source of energy.

B: Why you think so?

A: Because our major sources of energy are running out while the sun is plentiful and unlimited.

B: I know it is also clean and safe to the environment However, it is just avaible when it is sunny
