Hai từ “do”và “make” tiếng Anh có nghĩa “làm”.

Hai động từ có nghĩa làm Tuy nhiên, ta dùng to make (made, made) với nghĩa chế tạo, xây dựng (tạo sản phẩm mới) cịn to (did, done) có nghĩa làm (nói chung) Chúng ta phân biệt từ rõ qua phần giải thích sau đây:
DO:
1 Làm, tham gia đạt điều -Ví dụ:
What can I for you? (= How can I help you?) (Tôi làm giúp bạn?) What have you done with my coat? (Anh làm với áo rồi?) to about sth: hành động để giải vấn đề
-Ví dụ:
• It’s a global problem What can individuals about it?

• to one’s best: làm Ví dụ: John has done his best but nothing changed (John gắng khơng có thay đổi cả.) • to exercises: làm tập
Ví dụ: He is doing exercises in his room (Nó làm tập phịng.)
• That will do: (ra lệnh cho đừng làm nói nữa) Thơi đủ rồi! • to be/ have to with sb/ sth: có quan hệ liên quan đến ai/ Ví dụ: He has to with all her problems
(Anh có liên quan đến tất vấn đề cô ấy.)

MAKE:
1 Sản xuất, tạo (thường chất liệu cụ thể đó) -Ví dụ:

• He has made a chocolate cake? (Anh vừa làm bánh sơcơla.) Làm phim chương trình tivi (chỉ đạo, sản xuất đóng phim) -Ví dụ: The film was made by Goldcrest Productions
