2 Warm up: (5’)

Sing the song: Snow While and Aladdin New lesson:

Act Write about your favourite book:(10’) a Pre- writing

- Ask Ps to answer T’s questions

- Tell the class that they are going to write about their favourite books

- Have them read the gapped sentences and think about the words to write

- Give enough tine for ps to the task

- Get them to swap read their writing in pairs before inviting two or three Ps to read their answers aloud

c Post writing: - Role-play Act Project: (7’)

- Tell the class that they are going to

interview three of their classmate about their favourite books and character Ask them to copy the table below and take notes

- Get them time to the interiews in class and complete the table

- Invite some pupils to report their results to the class

Act Colour the stars: (5’)

- Have the class read the statements and check their comprehension

- Give them time to colour the stars and invite a few Ps to read the statements aloud

2 Write about your favourite book:

- Tell the class that they are going to interview three of their classmate about their favourite books and character

- Give further support to Ps who find it difficult to achieve certain objectives

4.Consolidation:(2’) Consolidate the content of whole unit 8.

1 Knowledge: By the end of this lesson, Ps will be able to use the words and phrases related to the topic Animals at the zoo, ask and answer questions

about animals in a zoo, using What did you see at the zoo? I saw * Language focus:

- T uses the picture of the dialogue on page 58(Student book 1) to lead Ss in the

conversation

- Ask students to look at the pictures in the book and elicit

T: Who are they? Ss: They are … T: What’s he doing? Ss:talking

T: What are they talking about? Ss: - Play the recording all the way through

for Ss to listen and follow in their book

- Play the recording again for Ss repeat the text several times.( line by line in the bubbles)

- Point to the picture for Ss to read the dialogue again

- Have Ss to find out the new structure Act Point and say.(14’)

- Tell the class that they are going to read and fill the gaps with intelligent, gorillas, elephants, and like.

b While- reading:

- Set a time for pupils to the task independently

- Get them to compare their answers in pairs before checking as a class If there is enough time, have the class read the completed text aloud

c Post reading:

- Ask Ps to play a game: Lucky numbers Act Let’s sing: (10’)

- Tell pupils that they are going to sing What did you see at the zoo?

- Have them read each line of the lyrics and teach them any unfamiliar words Check their comprehension

- Play the recording all the way through for them to listen and follow in their books Play it again for them to choral repetition line by line

- When they are familiar with the melody, ask the class to sing along with the music
