PART 1- The formation of comparative sentence (Câu so sánh hơn):

Example: The diamond ring is cheaper than the silver ring

The silver ring is less expensive than the diamond ring *Lưu ý:

1 Subject (chủ ngữ) Noun (danh từ) hai đối tượng so sánh

2 Từ kết thúc nguyên âm đơn+phụ âm đơn, ta gấp đôi phụ âm thêm “er”

Example: Hot-hotter; big-bigger

3 Từ kết thúc "-e" chuyển thành "-er" Example: Nice-nicer; large-larger

1 Từ có hai âm tiết tận phụ âm “ y”: Chuyển "-y" thành "-ier" Example: Happy-happier

2 Đối với tính từ dài, muốn so sánh nhiều ta dùng “more”, so sánh ta dùng “less” đứng trước tính từ

PART 2- The formation of superlative sentence (Câu so sánh nhất):

Example: The plane is the fastest one (There is a plane, a bike and a train.) The plane is the most expensive one

*Lưu ý:

1 Subject (chủ ngữ) Noun (danh từ) đối tượng so sánh tập thể từ đối tượng trở lên

Subject + Verb + short adjective_er + than + Noun

Subject + Verb + more/less + long adjective + than + Noun

Subject + Verb + the + short adjective_est + Noun

2 Từ kết thúc nguyên âm đơn+phụ âm đơn, ta gấp đôi phụ âm thêm “est”

Example: Hot-hottest; big-biggest
