LESSON 4: COMMUNICATION (P 43) A OBJECTIVES:

1.Knowledge: By the end of the lesson, students will be able to use “will / won’t / might” to talk about the future

+ Vocabulary: planet, cinema, watch, a lot + Grammar:

2 Skills: Practice and develop speaking and reading skills.

3 Attitude: Political thought and moral sense: educate students should draw their houses in the future as their dream and educate them to love the subject more

4.Competences: Ss can talk about the future B TEACHING AIDS:

- Textbook, teacher’s book, lesson plan, board, chalks, pictures and posters, computer,TV/projecter

III New lesson: (37 minutes)

Step 1: Pre – speaking (12 minutes) * Vocabulary:

- planet (n): hành tinh (example)

- cinema (n): rạp chiếu bóng (phim) (synonym)

- watch (n): đồng hồ (realia)

- a lot (adj): nhiều, nhiều (synonym)

* Concept check: Slap the board.

* Game ( Part p 43 ).

- T shows the six phrases then runs through go to school

- T asks Ss to write the above six phrases on six pieces of paper

- T explains how the game is played: You play the games in groups of First you place six pieces of paper face down Then you take turns turning over each piece of paper and read the phrase on it After that, you find the appropriate phrase on the circle in the text book p 43 and make sentences about the future using “won’t” and might as in the example Who make a correct sentence will get one point and who makes incorrect sentence will have one point subtracted

- T hangs the poster with the contents of part 2a on the board then runs through

- T gives the instructions: You read the questions and tick “Yes” or “No”

- T models the first one - T checks Ss’ understanding - T gets some Ss' ideas

* Activity 2: Interview ( Part 2b p 43 )

- T gives the instructions: You work in pairs using the questions in part a to interview your partners - T give one example as a model

You: Hi, Nam Will you live in a hi-tech house in the future?

Nam: Yes, I will

You: Will your house be in space? Nam: Oh, no It won’t

You: So where will it be?

Nam: I’m not sure It might be by the sea - T checks Ss’ understanding

- T walks around to see and helps Ss - T calls some pairs to act out

Step 3: Post – speaking (10 minutes) * Activity 1: Retelling

- T asks Ss to tell the class about their interview - T models

*Activity 2: Write - it - up.

information about houses in the future and future appliances then talk about houses in the future (types, locations, surroundings, appliances)

+ Vocabulary: helicopter, roof, surf, order + Grammar:

2 Skills: Develop and practice reading and speaking skills.

3.Attitude: Political thought and moral sense: educate students should have their dream houses in the future and educate them to love the subject more

4.Competences: Ss can talk about houses in the future (types, locations, surroundings, appliances)
