Lesson

I Objectives: By the end of the lesson, students will able to: - learn and write the letter Nn /en/ and its sound /n/

- learn three Nn words

- be positived with the things and the part of body II.Vocabulary: nut, net, nest

III Methods: Teacher-whole class, groups, individuals.

IV Teaching aids: CD, Phonics cards, paper including the lyrics of the chant V Organization:

Teacher’s and Ss’ activities Content

* Warm up(5’):

- Greeting: “Hello I’m Mrs Phuong.” - Invite Ss to respond by saying “hello” * Presentation and Practice:

1 Listen, point and repeat Colour (15’) (Track 2):

- Introduction of letter N, its sound and how to pronounce the words beginning with Nn

- Use a card and instruct Ss how to pronounce the letter name and the letter sound

- Repeat several times and check Ss’ pronunciation

- Use the phonics cards with nut, net, nest read the words out loud and ask Ss to repeat

- Use gestures (hand actions) to help Ss to understand the meanings of the three words

- Check Ss’ understanding: T says the words, all Ss actions and vice versa

- Call some Ss to say the words out loud and correct their mistakes (if any)

=> Activity: Memory game

1.Listen, point and repeat Colour -nut: củ lạc -net:vợt lưới -nest: tổ chim

- Put the phonics cards of nut, net, nest, Nn on the board - Ask Ss to memorize the order of these cards

- Ask Ss to close their eyes, T removes one phonic card randomly and asks individual Ss to name it

- Continue changing the order cards

- Remember to correct Ss’ pronunciation throughout the lesson 2 Practice: Step way lines

- Divide class into teams

- Let a half of class to say the word then an others to guess the meaning

- Listen and check * Production (5’):

- Activity: Writing in the air.

Show the letter Nn again, have Ss write the “Nn” in the air with their fingers

VI Procedures

- Have Ss look at the books and listen to these words - T points to the words and has Ss repeat many times

- T plays the CD Have Ss listen and point to the nut, net, nest - Ask Ss to colour , using any colour they like

- Go around the classroom, asking Ss to name the items they are coloring

=> Activity: Pass the phonics card Game

- Using the phonics cards and line up the Ss into teams - Give the first Ss of each team a phonics card and say “Go” - The Ss say the corresponding words and pass the phonics card over their head to the Ss behind them

- Which team has the most point will be the winner - Continue the game as many times as necessary 2 Chant and show!(10’) (Track 4)

- Put up the lyrics of the chant on the board

- Without music, use the phonics cards and step Ss to sing the chant

- The whole class sings the whole chant Do the chant again - Give feedback

* Production (5’): - Activity: Optional
