Lesson 1: getting started (p.89) - listen and read (p.89- 90)

I.Aims:

- Help ss what they should to protect the environment

- By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to know what they should to protect the environment and save natural resources They will also be able to understand the structure: S + to be + adj + that – clause/ It’s + adj + to V inf.

- Developing skills: listening, reading, speaking. 1.Language contents:

*Grammar:

- Passive forms

- Adjectives followed by – an infinitive - a noun clause - Language review - Future simple - present simple

*Vocabulary: recycle, reduce, reuse, throw, contact, overpackage

2.Skills: Listening, speaking, writing, reading 3.Attitude : It helps ss to have motivation , happiness to communicate with each other in English Besides, the lesson can helps ss work harder

Brainstorm

- Draw the circle with an example on the board - Ask Ss to think of ways to reduce the amount of garbage they produce

- Deliver posters to Ss, dividing them into groups

- Tell Ss to put the posters on the board after they finish and the team having the more good ideas is the winner

- Help ss classify the garbage/ materials and say how to recycle them, listen to instructions for recycling and know how to make the compose

- By the end of the lesson , Ss will be able to practice giving and responding

instructions for recyling materials and listen the specific information about making compost
