To research the reaction of humic acid with some heavy metals in solution - To determine the factors influenced on adsorption capacity of heavy metal ions by humic acid - To use solid humic acid for decontaminating polluted water by heavy metals Activities and main results : - Humic acid - the fraction of humic substances that is not soluble in water under acidic condition (pH < ) but is soluble at higher pH value - Humic acids are used most effectively in particular in the stage subsequent to chemical treatment of water Due to their outstanding properties of adsorption of liphophlic substances, their high cation exchange capacity, their ability to form hardly soluble complexes with polyvalence cations and heavy metals and their high electron exchange capacity, hmic acids are ideal as sorption medium for a number of water impurities and especially for heavy metals and liphophlic substances In our works, we prepaired two kindes of humic acid One is from peat of Vietnam, one is comercial product of Wako company in Japan and compared their adsorption properties , The complexation of humic acid with cations Pb^"^, Cu^"^, Zn^"^, Cd^"^, As^"", As^ was studied.The adsorption capacity of humic acid depends on pH value of solution and increases with increase of pH (range from to ) After 20 minutes, about 70% to 98% these ions absorbed on solid humic acid at pH = 4.5 -
