WARM UP & review: Musical ball - Giving instruction.( Period 3, Warm up) - He ( blue ball) - She ( red ball) II. New lesson 1. PRESENTATION: Introduce the vocabulary: • Pen : bót mùc • Book : quyÓn s¸ch • Ruler : thíc kÎ • Pencil : bót ch× - Using real objects to introduce vocabulary. - Holding real objects and modeling * Checking Voc: - Join in the game. A: Hello. My name is (Lan). What s your’ name ? Puppet B: It’ a ( ruler ).  Pratice:     A: What’s this? B: It’ a ( ruler ). - Deviding class into 4 groups. - Asking each group to hold 4 real objects. - Modeling. -Asking sts to practise. - Getting feedback. 2. OPEN YOUR BOOK: 2.1Open your book to page 4:   2.2 Students open their books to page 4:  - Playing the tape. - Playing the tape again. Stopping each sentence to ask sts to repeat. - Draw on the board. - Look at the puppets and listen. - Choral & pairs repetition - Work in groups. Hold: pen, pencil, book, ruler. - Listen. - Ask & answer about school items - One st from each group come in front of the class and practise - Look at the book and say out the characters’ names: ( Jenny, Scott, John). - Listen and show the school objects.   Let s go 1A ’ 2009 - 2010 2 Jenny: What’s this ? S 5 : It s a pencil’ - Giving instruction. - Calling a st to model, this st holds an object in the secret bag, asks the class: What s this?.’ Other sts guess the object and say aloud the name of object. Who guess the right object will be a winner II.New lesson 1.PRESENTATION: Introduce the vocabulary: - Using real objects and to introduce vocabulary. - Holding real objects, showing school items in the class and pronounce the words - a bag / / : c¸i tói s¸ch, cÆp s¸ch - an eraser / / : côc tÈy - a chair / / : c¸i ghÕ tùa - a desk / ./ : c¸i bµn * Checking Voc: Slap the board - Put the pictures on the board - Call on 2 ss in both sides to the front of the class standing at equal distance from the board - call out words eg: “ c¸i bµn ” in aloud voice - two ss must run forword and slap the picture, the student who slaps the correct picture first is the winner and gets a mark. - go on with the next ss Review the question & answer pattern: - Showing the picture card ( book ). - Slap their hands to congratulation the winner - Look at these objects and say in Vietnamese. - Listen & Repeat ( Choral & Individual repetition). - Copy down.  Slap the board - Make in two lines. - Listen and run quickly to the board, slap the word they hear Let s go 1A ’ 2009 - 2010 chai r des k erase r bag 6 NguyÔn ThÞ Ph¬ng Loan Mao Khe B primary school 2’ 3’ 10’ - Asking sts to recall the question. Substitution Drill: - Using the picture cards, modeling T(shows a desk): It s a desk.’ (shows a chair): What s this ? ’ S 1 : It s a chair.What s this ?’ ’ (shows a bag) S 2 : It s a bag’ 2. OPEN YOUR BOOK a.Students open their books to page 5:  - Playing the tape. - Playing the tape again, stopping each sentence for sts to repeat. b.Pratice:   - Show Sam (con mÌo ®en) , Ginger (con meß mÇu da cam) - Divide class into 2 groups to practice. Group A( Sam ) asks, group B ( Ginger - Say out: What s this?/ What is this ?’ - Answer: It s a (book).’ Look at the picture cards, listen and repeat and practise in pairs - Look at the book, listen and show the objects on the picture.   Ss listen 2 times The second time listen to repeat each sentence chorally - Listen and repeat - Listen, show the objects and repeat.
