FPT UNIVERSITY FPT POLYTECHNIC COLLEGE Graphic Design Fashion styles Instructor: Trần Thị Sông (Ms.) Class: EN12313-1 Student name: Nguyễn Văn Thiên Student code: PS05993 Ho Chi Minh City, April 2017 COMMENTS Lecturer 1: Lecturer 2: Fashion styles are commonly misunderstood idea, which is less complicated than it often seems In reality, understanding different types of fashion styles can actually simplify your shopping and apparel All apparels are grouped according to similarities in pattern, fabric, style line and color These types of fashion styles can create looks that convey common themes Fashion style generally refers to the groups of personality traits, which also match specific fashion theme Fashion style is like a character sketch that describes a personality out of a fashion theme There are many different types of fashion styles in Vietnam Some types that popular are: Wedding clothes In Vietnam, brides often prepare both the traditional wedding dress Viet Nam – Ao Dai – and other modern dresses for this occasion The Wedding dress in a VietNamese wedding is an integral part of the proceedings that will make the bride radiantly beautiful on the most important day of her life Nowadays, most of the brides are interested not only in color and materials but also design and style of the dress The Ao Dai is worn in engagement ceremony and in the wedding, especially when the groom’s procession arrive the bride’s home to receive and bring her to his house The advantages of the traditional wedding dress Viet Nam are discreet, subtle, and suitable for many statures as well as skin color These charming gowns set off all curves of woman’s body, and represent feminineness and gracefulness The highlights created sophisticatedly by national patterns on bosom and body parts of the dress, for example, kettledrum, lotus, bamboo, phoenix, …symbolize good luck, and bring the most regal, luxurious and elegant beauty to Vietnamese brides Besides the traditional Ao Dai, Vietnamese brides also change modern wedding dresses in the party when receiving guests and friends Funeral The clothes are made from white fabric, and not only the death body but also the husband/wife, the son and daughter and the grand sons have to wear this funeral clothes Visitors who attend a funeral usually wear dark color clothes and bring sympathy flower, sometimes attached with an envelop containing money to help the unfortunate family cover the cost of the funeral During the mourning time, the family members have to wear a small black piece of cloth on the arm or chest Working enviroment Working clothes are usually made by the company to form uniforms under the company logo, uniform colors often follow the color of the logo However, some companies not require to wear uniforms like foreign companies They dress very comfortable Somethings that people should avoid to wear at work are: wearing sexy clothes, wearing nude pantyhose For example, when people go to work, they should dress appropriately for their industry They have to care, even if it is ok to be casual You should not wear tank top or flipflops 5 Conclusion Fashion is a very important part of life People don’t get jobs, people are judged, people are not taken seriously, all because of the way people dress The way you dress matters a lot these days, it talks about yourself and alsoshows what kind of person you are The way your present yourself plays an important role because first impression matters and it speaks a lot about yourself You may not be able to afford many things or you may, as long as you have that sense of taste, know your body and know what looks good on you and know it makes you look presentable ...2 COMMENTS Lecturer 1:
