RESPONSIBILITIES: • Moves the departments strategy to the workers and ensures its successful implementation • Carries out surveys and studies the composition of the soil in various geographic areas as well as the environmental factors affecting crops • Indicates to the workers the best way of growing the plants according to the climate and the territory of each region • Ensures that the cultivation method implemented by the company is as environmentally harmless as possible • Identify, control, deal with plant diseases • Seeks, examines and applies new environmentally friendly cultivation methods • Examines new pesticides and fertilizers as well as the consequences they may have on production and the environment • Performs audits to ensure product quality and seeks new ways of improving quality • Supervises the keeping of records in the production process • Reports to the Director General about agricultural machinery or new fertilizers and or pesticides needed by the department • Continuously seeks training opportunities in his field • Maintains his her professional and technical knowledge by participating in various workshops, seminars, and so on.
