Sheets and Slides Google Sheets and Forms have a plethora of add-ons available for data collection and processing Explore their add-ons in their respective apps Google Slides does not currently have add-ons, but will receive them in the future Adding letters with accents in Google Docs When learning a second language such as French or Spanish, an extra challenge is to correctly insert letters with accents Since most schools not have special keyboard layouts for second languages, previous methods include memorizing key combinations or finding character maps on the computer to add an è While many extensions and add-ons exist, the Special Characters – Click and Paste Chrome extension is a simple method of inserting accented letters regardless of the keyboard layout To add this extension to Biodigital Human is a great app to explore the human body Inserting math equations in Google Docs Mathematics is a greater challenge for integration than other subjects With equations, charts, and graphs, creating or having students create math-related content in Google Docs can be a challenge Google Docs has a built-in equation editor, but to plot graphs in Google Docs, the add-on g(Math) is menu: A blue rectangle around the insertion point indicates that the equation editor is active Furthermore, an equation toolbar appears below the default toolbar: A: Greek letters such as α B: and symbols from the equation toolbar to complete the equations An example of the equation for the slope of a line is shown in the following screenshot: When using the equation editor, it is easier to begin with the formatting settings such as fractions and subscripts before adding in the text because it does not format previously entered text Instead, the formatting buttons will create fields in the appropriate format to be filled in Plotting graphs in Google Docs An add-on that can also create equations is g(Math) It uses the LaTex language to create images of equations, which can be pasted into a Google Docs document g(Math) can also plot graphs in Google Docs It needs to be installed as an add-on using the same instructions found in the Creating citations with EasyBib section at the ] www.Ebook777.com Customizing to Your Subject Deleting apps, extensions, and add-ons As you continue to explore different Chrome apps, extensions, and Google Docs add-ons, there will be ones that you try and decide not to use Leaving those unused add-ons can slow down Google Chrome and Chrome OS To maintain the best performance when using Google Apps, delete these unused apps, extensions, and Google Docs add-ons whenever possible Deleting Google Chrome apps and extensions follow similar steps For apps, right-click on the App icon when viewing apps in Google Chrome or in the App Launcher of Chrome OS and select Remove from Chrome… as shown in the following screenshot: For deleting extensions, right-click on the extension icon beside the omnibar and select Remove from Chrome… Removing
