TECHNIQUES : Networks, slap the board, discuss IV. TEACHING AIDS : Pictures, extra-board, books, chalk, . . . . V. PROCEDURE : T’s and Ss’ activities Content - T reviews some activities in their free time. - T asks “ What do you do in your free time?” - Ss answer freely. -T asks Ss to look at the pictures in book . Ask and answer in pair. - Ss practice with a partner about the 1.WARM UP : Networks - I often play soccer. - I usually read books. - . . . . . . * GETTING STARTED Ex: ( picture a) S1: What are the boys doing? UNIT 1 : MY FRIENDS LESSON 1 : GETTING STARTED AND LISTEN AND READ + Ex 4/ p 28 Free time rest pictures before class. - T corrects and Ss take note. - T reviews some information about Hoa. T asks Ss “ What do you remember Hoa?” - Ss answer freely. - T gives some information such as : She’s from Hue. Last year she was in 7A. She is living with her aunt and uncle in HN . . . . - T introduces new lesson “ Lan and Hoa are classmates. Today Hoa received a letter from her friend, Nien, in Hue. Hoa is telling Lan about Nien. Listen to their conversation and find new words” - Ss listen to the tape once and find new words. - T gives new words and model sentences on the board. - Ss guess meaning of new words. - T reads new words twice and Ss repeat. - Ss take note . - T reviews new words by playing “ Slap the board “. - Ss listen to the tape once and find out information about Nien. - Ss give information on the board. - Ss practice the dialogue with a partner ( close/ open pair ). - T corrects pronunciation if necessary. - T asks Ss to read silent the dialogue to answer the questions. - Ss work in close pairs. - Then some pairs practice sentences before class. S2: They are playing soccer. - Picture a : playing soccer - Picture b : reading books. - Picture c : playing chess. - Picture d : playing badminton. 2.PRESENTATION: * LISTEN AND READ * New words : - Seem (v) : ( translate): dường như - Photograph (n) : (picture): bức hình. PRODUCTION: * Discuss the questions a) For you, why do people write letters to one another? b) Do you write to anyone? When? Who? 5. HOMEWORK : - Learn new words and model sentence by heart. - T corrects. - Ss take note. - T gives some questions on the board. - Ss work in group. - T gives the homework on the board. - Ss take note . - Do exercise : Combine the sentences.
