II/ Usage:
1 A / AN : for a singular countable noun in a common meaningful statement or the noun
which hasn’t been not mentioned before.
Ex: A baseball is round ( any baseballs)
I saw a boy in the street ( the readers/ listeners haven’t known who the boy is)
2 A : for the words beginning with a vowel Ex: a book, a pen, …
AN : for the words beginning with a consonant Ex: an apple, an ink-pot

The letter h pronounced as a vowel we use the article “AN” for it.
