LESSON PLAN UNIT 1: MY FRIENDS Getting stated – Listen and read * Aims: By the end of Lesson Ss will be able to: - Develop the reading skill - Broaden the range of vocabulary related to the topic - Review simple present and simple past tenses * Assumed knowledge: Ss have already known some vocabulary items/ structures related to content of given passage * Anticipated problem: - It’s possible to lack time, so teacher had better shorten the last activity - Ss may not know the techniques to the tasks, so T should offer them some tips before let them the tasks * Teaching aids: books, cassette, chalk,… * Time required: 45 minutes TEACHING PROCEDURES Procedures I) Warm -up Teacher’s activities - Greeting - Getting started • Divide class into groups • Ask Ss to work in group and describe about four pictures in the book (page 10) • Give some cues to help Ss describe these pictures: How many people are there in the Student’s activities - Greeting - Listen to the T attentively - Work in group - Aims T creates a friendly atmosphere for Ss T arouses Ss’s interest in the lesson Ss can find out some words or phrases related to the topic themselves Materials Book II) Pre -reading picture? What are they doing? Where are they now? What they these activities for?
